easy access to product usage insights
What do you like best about the product?
Heap provides lots of well-baked-in templates for me to leverage when I want to start a product usage analysis. It helped me find friction points in the user journey, it also helped me compare the changes over time.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of my questions in product usage is always to see if users are following the expected flows - understanding where user is going from or into a certain page is important. However, I find the results in the path analysis provided by Heap are not easy to interpret.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
user onboarding experience. I was able to find the enhancement areas in the user sign-up process using the data from heap's funnel analysis.
good platfrom
What do you like best about the product?
I like that the platform provides tools that help organize data in a way that conveys information to the rest of the company.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that there is a learning curve to use it and adding new users requires some onboarding which poses a barrier for others to access the platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am trying to convey information to the rest of my company through data visualizations and data-informed inferences to our performance to help identify ways to improve.
Heap is an easy tool for beginners and professionals to use.
What do you like best about the product?
The event visualizer is by far the best tool for all aspects of product development
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike some features that are harder to read, and harder to figure out where the data went wrong, such as paths.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fixing flows in our product and why people are abandoning their cart.
Software Analysis for SAAS Product
What do you like best about the product?
Heap tracks data, before you even know you need it. I love to be thorough, this has it built in.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the Visualizer is a little clunky and slows down some processes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving issues like: what clients are adopting, who needs more training, what kind of training is needed, what features are the most effective.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Heap requires a small amount of Dev intervention to get setup. You can get them more involved later on if you wish to get specific with what you track. It's almost plug and play.
RVP Customer Success
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard and visualizations are of high quality, very easy to read and include screenshots for customer QBRs to demonstrate use of our product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd say the biggest challenge is in ensuring all of our customers integrate smoothly into Heap. Sometimes there are issues getting accurate data visualized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helping understand how our customers are using our product to drive further adoption. This helps ensure renewals downstream.
A good tool to evaluate your ad performance
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to build the conversion funnel
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a learning curve to use Heap and it takes time to get used to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it to identify the missing opportunities and evaluate campaign performance
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Watch the training videos!
Lots of data, plenty to consider
What do you like best about the product?
There's so much information collected about user behavior. Utilized correctly, that can be powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a steep learning curve for collecting valuable insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're not utilizing it to its fullest, unfortunately.
Robust functionality, but intimidating to learn and use.
What do you like best about the product?
The features are robust. You can define practically any specific event. I especially like the new-ish feature where you can click on an element in the platform in order for the event or element to be defined (versus knowing the exact code/tag).
What do you dislike about the product?
Heap is intimidating to use. It feels like it needs a lot of training, and we don't have multiple champions at our organization who are good at training new or all users on how to use it effectively. It feels overly complex, which keeps new people from learning it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I created a report with my PM to help track the usage of a specific page in our platform. This included defining when users did particular tasks. We compared this usage data to overall WAU. This helped us understand general usage of feature. Having a dashboard / report that we could share with others was useful for visibility.
A little difficult to learn but easy to navigate once you learn.
What do you like best about the product?
The data is pulled extremely quick which is efficient
What do you dislike about the product?
It was diffucult to learn where every data point was coming from
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am pulling data for email campaigns and SMS campaigns
Does the trick
What do you like best about the product?
We can see insights into user behaviors, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the reports provide a limited view; for example, sometimes you can't use the graph feature if you have multiple things you want to visualize.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to see if we're moving our metrics in the right direction.
