  • May 28, 2020
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Best way to store the data structures as is in the data store. Fast access and various supporting data structure NoSQL DB. It has moved from a simple key-value data store to one of the most powerful in-memory databases. Most cases to use cache still outperform as in-memory DB for other data. Power with the Developer on the prod code. Also growing support with the newer data formats for all kinds of data. With the interest of this concept, I started learning and started implementing on my own project. Highly memory efficient that drive saving the infra cost.
What do you dislike about the product?
Modules are separate and difficult to up and running in the standalone. The Cloud version outperforms the drawback.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time fast data ingest as well as retrieve as fast as it can be based on the infrastruture.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best way to start if you are developer aspire to be enterpreneur who is building an application in the cloud. So you can scale easily as you grow.

The ease of getting up and running and the lost cost of entry. Additionally, Redis performs very well and scales nicely.

The documentation available for Redis is the weak link -- it is very difficult to come up to speed using only the documentation available for the various commands.

We use Redis for a user session store and it works very well in this capacity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It works very well, just be aware that the documentation is lacking.

The best out there for Redis hosting

  • May 04, 2016
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Redis Cloud takes away any complexity in hosting and maintaining redis in the cloud. The setup couldn't be easier and so far we've experienced not downtime in almost 2 years. Really happy with the product, the support and the availability of Redis Cloud.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall the service is great and there's not much I dislike. Future improvements would be to connect with other platforms more easily such as Datadog and other metrics reporting and alerting platforms. The service is a bit expensive as well but again the product is great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing data in a fast datastore (redis) and not having to manage any of it ourselves.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you don't have a DevOps team just go for it. The setup is easy and the service is really reliable. Take a look at the advanced metrics section of the dashboard for mean access to great data.
