What do you like best about the product?
The easiness to modeling business processes and the flexibility of the tool to be used in various areas and business processes.
The sectors in which I have used Anaplan are: Consumer Goods and Services, Beverage, Manufacturing, Utilities,
Finance and Insurance, Telecommunication Services, Aeros pace & Defense, Electronic & Electrical Equipment, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Wholesale, Automotive Supplier , Online Booking.

What do you dislike about the product?
UX still to be improved (graphs, customizations and dynamicity).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anaplan has helped solving and improving many business cases especially in the areas of Financial Planning and Commercial Planning: Intelligent Connected Planning, Working capital analysis, Revenue Performance Management, Gross to Net, What If Analysis, Material Planning, Approval Workflow, Suppliers Allocation, Cost and Saving Model, Financial Planning Budgeting & Forecasting, P&L Planning , Finished Good Spend variance analysis, Commerical Planning, Management Reporting, Balance Sheet, Sales Budget, RFQ, New Product Introduction , COGS Planning.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan helps businesses transform their financial systems and processes by providing a database, engine and user interface on one platform. As the data store on the cloud , it offers the power combination of one version of truth (data) and real-time result. It also empowers company to have a connected planning with one source of data across all models and enabling each to access data from the others. It also has a friendly and sleek dashboards which only contains relevant data.
What do you dislike about the product?
As for all the systems out there, there is always a big room for improvement and as for Anaplan we are looking forward to various enhancements on functionalities already on the road. Most of the enhancements are from their current visionaries, hands-on builders, and experienced end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The one that I would like to highlight that Anaplan solves is the one of the biggest pain points of accountants or finance people, the large number of versions they have in their financial worksheets. With Anaplan, this different version of one financial worksheet is eliminated. It provides one set of your data (list) and one engine means one formula for all items (module).

Very intuitive, No Coding required, User Friendly
What do you dislike about the product?
Cant Handle Volumes, Can't Handle huge implementations due to never ending toasters from model builders that makes the development difficult.

Reporting, Planning & budgeting
Anaplan is an excellent planning tool
What do you like best about the product?
Extremely flexible and powerful. Anaplan is able to tackle almost any modelling challenge and make processes more sustainable and efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
Visuals aren't as advanced as some other tools, but the new UX is improving this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Annual budgeting and forecasting. We want to also do some more long term cash projections, but this has been a work in progress due to large project size.

What do you like best about the product?
Anaplan can be self service system by business users. No need for technical support like admins, developers and other technical staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
Anaplan is sensitive architecture decisions which could lead to performance issues. In the same time best practices, weaknessm workaround are well known via community discussions, learning programs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Classical problems - FP&A, Cost analysis. Demand planning, IFRS cases like IFRS 16. Common Benefits - 1 common source of data (instead of many excel files), audit trails, drill down transparency. Benefits from realizing different business problems on one platform using common source of input data.

Pricing can be more adaptive for low market segment.

A highly customizable connected planning solution that is able to support multiple use cases
What do you like best about the product?
A single platform that brings data and people together onto one platform, that is continuously improving in functionality and user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While being a flexible solution, it does not have some of the more complex capabilities of bespoke solutions that are specific to certain use cases and industries.

Anaplan has helped to improve the Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting, Sales & Operations Planning Capabilities of many of our clients.
One of the greatest benefits that have been realized for many of our clients is bringing many people onto one platform, and greatly reducing the excels being used in their organizations, removing unmaintainable models, and large amounts of file sharing through emails.

How Anaplan provides a success planning model
What do you like best about the product?
App hub is the part that I like best that can provide people a high possibility of viewing potential functions they will have and give users flexibility to download and reconfigure based on business requirements. Also, the dashboarding is a very good feature that Anaplan has, it provide the possibility that user can see the immediate impact derived from the driver or assumptions. There's no need to move across a bunch of sheets to visualise the result.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that I would say dislike for Anaplan is the new user interface. It's a good feature that provides better user experience but not all functionalities are well developed so far, some functions of traditional dashboarding are not supported in the NUX. Therefore this is a part that Anaplan can keep developing and provide more possibilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved a bunch of problems that clients have. The key benefit that we can take from Anaplan is the well organised planning approach for each end user roles. It's not a tool developed for single admin or only for CEO, it takes care of all users and provide very good navigation and path for everyone in the company. Also, the dashboard collaborates necessary information in same place that users can easily navigate or move to the page that they'll need to use or review.
