Security Exposure by Example
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Secure Code Warrior provides concrete examples of vulnerable code. It is often difficult to find straightforward examples of vulnerable code in applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is unclear what the path to exploitation was even after being presented with the suggested fix for the vulnerability. I would love to see a video or written explanation of how an attacker might exploit the vulnerability in the provided example and how the approved patch fixes the vulnerability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure Code Warrior helps solve the problem of developers not having much exposure to real-world vulnerabilities. By providing examples of what vulnerable code looks like, developers are more likely to consider security when writing code.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend that you give Secure Code Warrior a try and maybe even require your developers to complete at least one module in a language of their choice.
Secure Code is a Knowledge Quest Warrior

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the Initial C# Challenge, I tried to Solve Some Problems related to Authentication Login and Log out Scenarios. I can assume the Benefit in the Knowledge gained

I like the best about this platform is the tournaments. They allow us to showcase our skills and at the same time have a health competition too and learn from our peers.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think not anything specific. There should be more tournaments and contests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been solving problems related to java. It has helped me become better at my coding following security standards.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would highly recommend people to use this platform to enhance their skills, learn new techniques of secure coding.
OWASP - TOP 10
What do you like best about the product?
Getting info about existing breaches and learn ways to resolve them in a fun way with challenges and explainations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dont really see the use of accumulate points and having a score (plus that other users can see)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to realize what differents security problems we can forget while developing online services, and there are more problem situations than we think.
Learn more about potential vulnerabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Most of all, I liked finding vulnerabilities in non-obvious places when passing tests.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some tests contain completely unexpected answers, but most of the answers are obvious if you read the test description carefully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have become much more careful when implementing SOAP calls. Refactoring has been done in some places when working with XML.
The Platform was very intuitive. It was engaging and worth the time.
What do you like best about the product?
The Platform was very easy to use. Had a lot of good features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way the competitions work. A bit unfair to have a single leaderboard for different Programming languages
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security aspects in day to day coding.
Great way to learn writing secure code
What do you like best about the product?
Gamifying the learning process makes it very addictive. Rich content and challenges. Quick response on the question feedback.
What do you dislike about the product?
The questions sometimes is a bit confusing and not perfect. The code in the platform wasn't written in production-ready style. But the great thing is it allows us to give feedback right away on the same page.

Learn to code securely and have fun with SCW platform
What do you like best about the product?
It is a fun way to get people competitive and excited about learning and retaining the learning thru hands-on. I especially like the tournaments and the fact that I can use the hints, without loosing points.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the challenges have multiple answers that are subtly incorrect, which can be frustrating. Also, the admin features could be better.
Also, the UI is not too inuitive.
Also, the UI is not too inuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want all the developers to be mindful of the security vulnerabilities and susceptibilities, so they can avoid the pitfalls and make sure our product is secure. Instead of dry lectures on OWASP top 10 or any other issues we see thru our bug bounty program, our engineers can learn this in a fun and meaningful way and actually practice and implement the best coding practices.
Fun and engaging secure coding platform for Devs
What do you like best about the product?
Secure Code Warrior offers over 50 different programming languages to challenge your Developer' security skills. Secure coding exercises have been "gamified", so that practicing secure coding feels fresh and fun. Customer service is awesome -- Melanie and Laura will host tournaments for your organization (making your Devs compete against eachother!) and offer awesome swag for tournament winners.
What do you dislike about the product?
At the moment, I think that the Secure Code Warrior platform shines at reinforcing and assessing secure coding skills but it is still improving its process of teaching a beginner secure coding skills from scratch. Short educational videos are good for explaining coding vulnerabilities and they keep the content concise, but sometimes I wish the vulnerability explanations were a little bit more in-depth.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure coding practices for Developers. Getting Devs to take the initiative and realize the importance of secure coding (Security Awareness Training).
