Quick and Easy tool to Analysis data
What do you like best about the product?
Speed, connects well with Google Analytics
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up is a long process and inability to work on real big data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps wuickly process lot of data especially from Google Analytics
Easy to use user interface for statistical computations
What do you like best about the product?
free, easy to use software, not highly computationally intensive, learning is relatively easy
What do you dislike about the product?
errors are not elaborate, cannot debug in order to find exact location of error
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
we use it for statistical comparisons between control and compound treated cells to see the effect of treatment. It provides nice, clean plots like box plots, volcano plots and other kinds of plots.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
free to use statistical software, easy to code, great data visualization tool, nice tool for beginners of machine learning
The #1 tool for data scientists!
What do you like best about the product?
The #1 tool for data scientists! Visualizations are easy to understand and manipulate. Tons of open source information making coding easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
error messages are not always descriptive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides analysis and visualizations for data influenced business decisions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly suggested; even over python. It's worth learning the language in order to use the best tool.
Experiencing R with a Nice GUI
What do you like best about the product?
The easy to ise GUI of RStudio makes it an ideal inteeface for R.
What do you dislike about the product?
Soemetimea the packages are not installed thrpugh RStudio
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Less complex interface comparing to others makss it fast to learn and teach.
User friendly with many analytic potentials
What do you like best about the product?
R studio is much more user friendly than classic R. As a coding language, it’s easier to learn than other softwares. The internet has great advice and guidance on how to code what you’re trying to code.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the built in help was better. I wish there was a built in user manual like Stata has.I have to rely on the internet to figure certain things out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used R for mapping election results, and running predictive and causal regressions on energy usage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Practice coding and get familiar with web forums of people who provide coding advice
RStudio is great!
What do you like best about the product?
There's a terminal for executing R commands and you can view various plots that you'd like to see. For example, recently I've had to make a lot of violin plots of various groups within an agricultural dataset, and RStudio was able to effectively show me all the variation within the groups quickly and effectively, and is able to parse all that data, probably over a gigabyte
What do you dislike about the product?
R itself isn't too nice to use, for certain cases. For example, I've had to stitch reports together but it was somewhat more annoying to do. This may be a critical drawback if you create many reports in the day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data analysis of various data sets
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Doesn't necessarily help you learn R, so learn that first before using RStudio.
User friendly interface for R
What do you like best about the product?
I recently started to work with R and statistical analysis for my PhD project. RStudio is basically R with buttons and more useful resources. The auto save sessions are amazing and you don't have to be worried about your computer shut down or anything that can happen somethings, you are not gonna lose your data. To install packages is super easy and there is a lot of them out there. The console is super user friendly and the script screen is pretty clear. Even for beginners like me, RStudio looks easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing I don't like about the RStudio is the lack of auto updating R feature. When a new R is released, you have to download and install it manually, RStudio does not recognize a new version of R. And you also have to copy and paste your packages from the old R to the new directory, RStudio cannot handle it yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RStudio helped me to analyze my RNA-seq data in one week, and I never worked with this kind of data before. It looks clear and easy, just type and run your script, do it all over again and your work are done.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have to run lot of data in R and you are a beginner or not a bioinformatics guy, use RStudio, the interface is good and user friendly, everything is pretty clear in the screen, you will know when something is wrong with your code and RStudio gives you some hint to make the code work.
RStudio is a ok
What do you like best about the product?
It's probably the best way to do scripting in R. It plainly and easily displays the console, command line, data files, and graphs & tables all in the same interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
R in general isn't the best language. There's nothing really that it does that other languages can't do equally if not better, but this isn't as much an issue with Rstudio as it is with R.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Machine learning and probs and stats
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use python
Best GUI for R
What do you like best about the product?
I makes using R seamless and simple. Great library support
What do you dislike about the product?
Their visualization tool could be amped up a bit, but it gets the job done.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows me to perform large scale statistical analysis quickly.
Good workbench
What do you like best about the product?
The everything in one place feature is what I love the most
What do you dislike about the product?
It's takes a lot of processing power to load
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have solved some really bad analytical problems with Rstudio
