RStudio on predictive analysis and data homogenization
What do you like best about the product?
The integration with PowerBi is a great help on our Reporting systems
What do you dislike about the product?
I had issues changing the folder of the suite. The program started to crash
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a good environment tondevelop. We are using it to develop code to run in oir PowerBi reports. We complete and clean out data
Rstudio is great
What do you like best about the product?
How customizable it is and the fact that it is so easy visualize my code and data.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not very much that I dislike about Rstudio.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How easy it is to visualize and understand temporal trends on variables.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Similar to spyder for Python. Intuitive and simple.
Why you should use Rstudio!
What do you like best about the product?
RStudio is incredible. I love the fact that it is open source, and it works perfectly with R. There are so many packages developed by others that can be easily obtained from CRAN or Bioconductor, making analysis very intuitive and user-friendly. All the functions also come with good documentation and plenty of examples to follow along, which was tremendously helpful when I was starting as a beginner user last year.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I find that writing your own packages or programs to perform calculations is not that simple. For example, I tried to write a function that would classify a set of products and perform a similarity calculation between suppliers. Writing new functions from scratch was a bit difficult for me, as I didn't find very good documentation that was easy to follow. I have had to rely on others' packages, which have also worked well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using RStudio to run predictive analyses, specifically I am trying to predict sales for a given week based on predictors such as the number of visits to our website, the links users click on, their purchase history, etc. RStudio has very good functions for building regression and machine learning models for this type of work. I realized that the biggest benefit is that it is free. Previously I used Stata, so I had to pay.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely recommended - it is free for everyone, which is especially a great benefit for students. Use it more in classes to expose students to a variety of visualization, modeling, and data mining tasks.
R Studio for Sports Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
It's fairly easy to import data into R Studio. It is helpful to be able to write multiple scripts simultaneously in the Editor. The console displays the results of the script outcome and/or displays any errors.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Console does not save the output. It would be helpful if the console saved the output in different sections/windows for each corresponding script.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I analyzed MLB sport related data. There were two datasets imported into R Studio, one for players and one for teams. I cleaned up the data. Dataframes were then created to merge and store the data. By creating the data frames and running the scripts, the sports stats became easier to analyze.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend R Studio to others, but it is import to learning the programming language first. It is also very important to learn how to clean up the data first through the appropriate script.
R studio review
What do you like best about the product?
It is free and open source which is really nice. It is pretty easy to work on. Far easy tha. Any R console. Layout is very simple and intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel that changing the size of window automatically is hard. Project usage is also kind of complex.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Rstudio when we need to work with datasets and when we need to analyze and visualize the data to make any prediction.
R studio makes it easy to work on because of its simple and intuitive layout. I never faced any issue related to Rstudio.

What do you dislike about the product?
it is not so easy to delete created data objects
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
when you have big excel files with many columns, it helps to correlate data easily with different columns and different rows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are interested in more dedicated analytics of data on excel files, it is the essential tool.
Still the best IDE for R
What do you like best about the product?
I like how the script, console, help bar and all your variables can be viewed all at once. Very easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can't seem to be able to customize font and font color? If that is possible it's not very obvious to users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for predictive modeling and data visualization for scientific research
R usage in Data Analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The analysis done using R...and its easy to do statistical computations and graphical representation of data makes its easy .Main useful areas are : Data visualizations,R MarkDown Reports and shiny applications to a big pipeline.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not used by major companies in the market.Out of many tools, R is popular but people still use other languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy way of writing scripts, makes it convenient to interact with objects stored in the environment, makes graphics more accessible to even a normal user.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Many people chose python but R is also equally useful.
R studio helps perform statistical analysis
What do you like best about the product?
The best feature is that its an open source..libraries and packages are available free ..also the plotting can be done using just one line of code.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limit on the no of records it can load into hadoop at a time.
