Mapping with RStudio
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about mapping with RStudio is the ease with which you can adapt your data to what you need to express. Being such a quick language to learn, with RStudio and its tools you just need to be clear about how to convey your idea so that others understand it, without a doubt RStudio will help you with that.
What do you dislike about the product?
An aspect to improve is the design of the graphics, in this case of the maps. With the changes that exist in the different software of this type, Rstudio should set its course towards higher quality in the graphics it generates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When working with market studies, I need to find different ways to express the variables I use. Therefore, with a simple NPS on a national scale, I had the opportunity to graph it on a geographical map, which helped me see the behavior of this indicator in the country, including by States and Municipalities.
Endless Possibilities
What do you like best about the product?
Open source programmabilities allow higher-level algorithms and analysis
What do you dislike about the product?
Steep learning curve and setup takes time
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
More types of analyses are available and can be integrated with different software like Tableau.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switch early
good product
What do you like best about the product?
I enjoy using R studio to write my statistical codes
What do you dislike about the product?
It is sometimes difficult to write codes that are longer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
statistical analysis
Best tool for data visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for statistical data analysis and visualization. A lot of very useful plugins available.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not the best solution available for machine learning/ predictive analytics (because of R language)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualization of complex data
Review of RStudio
What do you like best about the product?
Rstudio is designed to offer an integrated development environment. RStudio is the reason why I chose programming in R. It is easy to use and the design is ideal. I also like that it is easy to update packages. The most outstanding feature is that it not only offers code auto-completion but also file path auto-completion. Although learning to program in R is somewhat complex at first, with RStudio it is easier and worth it.
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, I have no complaints about RStudio. The only thing I can mention is that it takes a bit to load the environment. It takes time to process large datasets and they could implement the use of multiple processors. Even so, it remains one of the best interfaces for using R.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use RStudio for complex statistical analyses such as structural equation models, Bayesian analyses, and hierarchical models. Fundamentally, I use it for research.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient with the R language. It is complex and takes time to learn, but once you master it, there is nothing better, and RStudio provides all the possible facilities to achieve it.
I love R studio!
What do you like best about the product?
I like that it is free and user friendly. There are plenty of tutorials online.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the theme options. I don't like any of the color combinations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do a lot of research and data management. I love that it is free and I can make my colleagues download it. I love that there are tutorials everywhere online.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilize the online tutorials! There are so many on so many different websites and even video tutorials. Google your errors.
Used R for a project
What do you like best about the product?
I liked the R community and the the ability to include libraries. The system is well documented and easy to learn.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used it a whole lot but I had trouble moving code to production. I was unsure of the best way to run an r script in production
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Customer retention identification. I believe at hnb we use the software to run quick analytics and create models in dev. After a model is approved it is moved into SAS. We use are to quickly analyze data and make actuonal items like for loan approvals, and accosistions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I love the software I would recommend documenting the deployment to prod environments
RStudio
What do you like best about the product?
I love how well the code works with displaying data visualization and how easy it is to install libraries. Works very well with machine learning libraries. I like how environment variables are displayed individually and how easy it is to work with the environment. Overall a good product. R in general is a relatively easy language to work with when you understand the core concepts.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like how it doesn’t have the ability to connect to external databases very easily, and the databases it can connect with are limited. It also doesn’t integrate with other technology vey easily compared to some cloud providers, who can implement machine learning and deploy as a web service automatically.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using machine learning for predictive analytics with various problems around our business. We are able to analyze the data to find patterns that may not be immediately apparent to the business side.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start off simple and work forward with it. Keep codes clean as many variables can lead to a complex environment.
Basic to work in data science related jobs
What do you like best about the product?
Versatile and simpler than R interface itself. You can customize it to create everything you can think of. Also you have a big community behind this tool, so you may discover the answer to your business problems easy through a solution or ideas in a forum or specialized website.
What do you dislike about the product?
At first is difficult to know how access new packages or new tools to improve your work, so it could be very frustrating at first without learning tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analyze data mainly to resolve business problems and data visualization graphs, but you can process and manipulate the data too.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think it's a very good choice. It's cheap and also very powerful tool.
