A powerful & flexible tool for rapid iteration & experimentation

  • September 15, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Statsig provides all of the tools necessary for rapid experimentation. Their Holdouts, A/B/N Experiments, Dynamic Configs & Targeting tools are all well designed & implemented so you can experiment & learn quickly. Their team is super smart & eager to help with direct Slack channel connections.
What do you dislike about the product?
With great power comes great responsibility. For Statsig, this means you need to invest time to learn the system to unlock the most value from the platform. While their docs & support team are incredibly helpful, I'd like to see future iterations of the platform include turn-key templates for more complicated setups such as multi-site/tenant.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Statsig helps Bonbon quickly learn how consumers react to different direct response messages. We use the platform to measure the engagement rates of different copy variants and can easily see how click rates, session depth, time on site, scroll depth and more are impacted by tweaks to the presentation of our offer messages.

Great support, great tool

What do you like best about the product?
It covers most of statistical advanced analysis for experiments. The only one left is to add regression analysis ;)
What do you dislike about the product?
Not all features worked out of the box, but when we needed them the team helped to implement them. So it is both negative and positive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Their support team is great. They answer fast and help with both experiment questions and tech problems. We used Statsig for our first experiment and they helped a lot. We had calls with representative of other similar tools, but even on the call they didnt show their expertise or level of support. Unlike StatSig.

Right now, we use them for testing our landing pages. But, when our product is finished, we want to use Statsig to test new features. We also like their feature toggle option. It lets us turn features on and off in our tests. Our developer thinks this is a good idea. We might even use feature toggle for our landing page tests.

Best experimentation platform our team picked (and we tried everything out there)

What do you like best about the product?
The product vision - these guys know exactly where they're going and we would bet on it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there were migration tools from other platforms to Statsig.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started with Feature flagging and experimentation, but now are using Statsig entirely for all data analytics and dashboarding as well.

Good customer service, good basics for experimentation.

What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to create custom metrics. I wish we were able to backfill them though, I'm not sure why we can't.

Great and responsive customer service. Great pieces of the tool for clustering and hold out groups.
What do you dislike about the product?
It probably needs a bit more onboarding for a team that doesn't have experimentation experience. The tools aren't super intuitive. A big question in experimentation is picking a big enough sample and the tool takes that for granted.

Some features like funneling and aggregated metrics are lackluster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too many small features going out without knowing the effect. I think we're still suffering from the question "why aren't my results significant" so there could be more guidance for team members on why that could be.

A stunning tool for product teams

What do you like best about the product?
Former Facebook / Meta employees created it.

It had a substantial impact on the quality thanks to the strong experimentation culture of this digital giant.

It is well-born and still getting better and better very quickly. The roadmap and the responsiveness of the team are impressive.

We are impressed by the product, and I think we only use a small part of the tool's features (we are currently using it for experimentation and not for feature flipping or to mitigate risks related to feature delivery).
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to tell. Usually, when we have an issue, or something is missing, the product is updated quickly.

I think competitors will have many more reasons to dislike Statsig than users :-)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We started to create a homemade experimentation platform because we were frustrated by the features of mainstream A/B testing tools. However, developing and maintaining such a project requires a dedicated team with many resources.

Thanks to Statsig, we could stop our project's maintenance. Analyzing an experiment is very fast. We can manually break down metrics and do group-by / filters operation within the user interface.

The front door of experimentations

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy is to setup and run a experiment, with all tools Statsig can provide you can save a lot of time and team work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the remote configs, gates and experiments dont load to the clients
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The facility of setup A/B tests and the use of feature gates to control what the clients will see and use in a easy way.

At a glance it looks intimidating, but very useful once you're used to it

What do you like best about the product?
I can customise and configure experiments with relative ease
What do you dislike about the product?
I could see how experiments are configured on an individual basis, but not so easy to see the whole picture (would be cool if I could access the overview with more ease)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have loads of abtests running concurrently, so it's useful to have a dashboard to configure them

Excellent experimentation tool

What do you like best about the product?
It is userfriendly which is missing from most of the experimentation tools out there (like split)
It has almost all the functionalities that we were looking for
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't discovered anything yet that I dislike
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for feature management, segment management and logging user patterns

Excellent SaaS product with generous tiering

  • May 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We have been using Statsig for 4 months now, having migrated from LaunchDarkly and it's been critical to the adoption of more intelligent experimentation. The product offering is vast while being simple enough to use for small experiments and the analysis options are extensive. We use feature gating and experimentation at large now as a result of adopting Statsig.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation could be a little better in more advanced areas of the offering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A/B testing and experimentation. Gradual rollouts of machine learning models with statistical significance. Adopting Statsig has re-shaped how we release software.

Great Product Insight

  • May 18, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Thre real time insights into how changes in our product our impacting our funnel. It makes it very clear when an experiment has changed a metric.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are still figuring out how to filter experiments so that just sub sections of our users enter the experiement. And so that entering one experiment precludes entering another.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Stastig helps me test new product offerings without committing to a full roll out. It also gives me greater confidence when making changes to critical parts of out order flow that if there is an unforseen bug we can roll something back.
