Automated URL shortening has boosted message delivery speed and reduced customer errors

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener is working in a development team as a developer, where we have a product that sends out links and messages.

A quick specific example of how I use SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener in our product is that we have a particular product where we have a background script in Python.

We use the REST API of SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener to send our actual URL, get it shortened using the REST API, and further send it out to the customers.

What is most valuable?

The best features that SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener offers have definitely been the REST API to shorten the URLs. It is also highly scalable.

The REST API and key table features of SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener help my team in practice, as the scalability is something that stands out. We send out up to hundreds of requests per second and get a low latency response, which is really impressive.

SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener has positively impacted my organization in that it has definitely reduced the errors and improved customer experience. When we did it manually or tried some other things to shorten the URL, there were manual errors that were happening and users were coming back or not reaching the actual URL.

What needs improvement?

SilverLining.Cloud URL Shortener can be improved by having more out-of-the-box dashboards and BI integrations that would help non-technical stakeholders consume analytics more easily.

Additionally, native SDKs and no-code connectors beyond the generic REST integration could lower the integration effort for a broader audience.

It is just a simple REST API, but it does what it is supposed to do and is reliable and fast.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how they make redirecting simple and mask all the url parameters that we wrote for our understanding and aren't visible to the end user. Initially I was using bitly and tinyurl for url shortening but an.si has proved to be better than them.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's nothing about an.si which I don't like, it pretty much does the job it's asked to do. Just have to be aware with the security issues associated with a shortened URL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While running ads we have to give multiple deeplinks for landing pages and we don't wana give out where we are redirecting our users therefore we have to make the links opaque and that's the job an.si does.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for the simplest URL shortened then this is the best thing available
