OPSERA - Salesforce Deployment Made Easy

  • December 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Seamless deployment with layman configuration
2. Branching Strategy with proper conflict resolve UI
3. Continous deployment & Deployment Queueing
4. Timely ressponse from support team of Opsera
What do you dislike about the product?
1. JIRA Inntegration should be there - and branches should be created with story number and interlinked. This feature is available in COPADO
2. While queueing in deployment for approval, there should be provision of cherry picking which task run to approve as currently it gows sequentially.
3. There should be reverse deployment from higher orgs to lower orgs too, which will ensure less need of sandbox refresh
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Untill last year we were using Changesets to deploy our components. After lot of research and demos from multiple vendors, we decided to go ahead with Opsera as our DevOps tool. This tool has proved to be a game changer for our team. It has darstically improved our deliverables deployments. Earlier we faced issues like branching strategy, components override etc. With the implementation of Opsera, we were able to successfully overcome all these issues. The implementation was smooth and has been well adopted by all our developers.

Visualizing Success: A Critical Look at the Centralized Live DevSecOps and GitHub Copilot Dashboard

  • December 20, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1) Opsera team able to provide solution for our complex applictaion life cycle management tracking requirements which has diversified portfolios such as SAAS offerings, On-Premise (Software & Embedded) offerings to customers .

2) Opsera's Customizable UI dashboard views and enhanced filters based on organization heirarchy helped us to digitalize the DevSecOps end to end monitoring
What do you dislike about the product?
Area of Improvement: Scattered dashboard such as Sprint Velocity, DevEx, Application Security and DORA has to merged into single unified view to reflect the overall health of software development, delivery, and operational performance
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) Opsera Dashboards helped us avoid manual efforts in collecting metrics from various DevSecOps tools. The Opsera dashboard is able to provide a comprehensive, real-time overview of the software development lifecycle metrics. Hence, it enables stakeholders to monitor the status of development metrics, security alerts, build and deployment metrics, and operational metrics in a centralized live dashboard.

2) DORA metrics in the industry are primarily meant to trace Cloud offering - SDLC metrics. The Opsera team successfully implemented DORA metrics with a unique and customized formula, which helped us track SDLC metrics for on-premise software and embedded offerings.

3) As we have recently adopted GitHub Copilot for over 3,000 engineers, there was a significant challenge in tracking the productivity of teams across various programming languages. However, Opsera helped us by developing a holistic dashboard to track developer coding productivity for each programming and scripting languages

4) We have faced challenges to monitor Functional and Cyber defects - SAST/SCA and Unit test code coverage. Opsera dashboard has managed to classify various data points from SonarQube, Jira and Product security database with accordance to our expectations
