GoAnyWhere GateWay - Great transfer application

  • March 18, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
GoAnywhere allows me to have a secure and auditable file transfer platform that works both on https and SFTP platforms. There are many customizable features that provide innovative options for those that can develop or code to them. The multiple client API options make things easy for clients to access the system in a variety of ways.
What do you dislike about the product?
GoAnywhere has many options and features. Each one has a cost and a license - In order to use some features to their desired extent, multiple licenses are sometimes needed. This tends to make things difficult to asses when determining the cost of a new feature. GoAnywhere reps are very helpful in determining costs but sometimes the amount can be a surprise.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have solved secure file transfers that have auditable capacities to address various compliances in regards to the nature of the files.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look at the features you need and those you plan on implementing in the future so you can plan the appropriate budget.

What do you like best about the product?
We where looking for an off the self implementation of an AS2 Server and Client that we could easily intergrate with our systems on AWS. GoAnywhere MFT was the perfect match. Their presales partner helped us with a trial license and then we did a extensive POC . We also ended up buying advance reporting and advance workflows. Thoroughly delighted with the choice we made can see that reflect of our customers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are based out of India and had to go through a partner. The Partner did extremely well to support us through the evaluation and the purchase but we did see some lag in getting some support question that the partner had to go back to GoAnywhere.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Excellent Growth

  • June 21, 2018
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Long time user of GoAnywhere, its growth and improvements have been excellent and one of the reasons we continue to use GoAnywhere. It is a great solution when you have several siloed domains that need to share data in a secure manner. Even with external clients, you can control access. This is one of several things you can do, we leverage it for advanced workflows and ftp alternative because of its security. A lot of control is in your hands.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the features I hope they implement would be to allow control on what gets synchronized to the local storage with the godrive feature. Upgrading capabilities should also be streamlined within the app instead of the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing internal data when all sites have no internetwork connectivity. We can create shares amongst them, we also have been able to create triggers and automatic workflows with data coming in through our ERP system for better functionality and internal process. Centralize FTP and SFTP connections.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good alternative for dropbox or box.com even onedrive.
