Good workflow engine
What do you like best about the product?
Executable BPMN development environment lets us directly translate business process.
What do you dislike about the product?
The deployment model is single server. If an upgrade to capacity is needed, it requires a rebuild of the VM. You are often required to create strongly typed CDTs, which makes it difficult to use dynamic JSON payloads.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have standardized orchestration for our core APIs, giving us a single place to track business transactions. We do not use it for creating user interfaces.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always try a free demo, and partner with your business stakeholders to document a business model and immediately run it as code. This is an eye opener and game changer.
Powerful and versatile

Guys, Feel free to play around with the most amazing Appian tool, certainly, you gonna love this one!
Appian has been helping me to keep track of my requests so i won't forget my actionable items
What do you like best about the product?
Appian is a good tool to help keep track of my actionable items. Before Appian, i need to rely on Outlook to create an alert in the calendar, and it's quite manual.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are too many pop up alerts and disrupt my daily workflow
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Assigning incoming emails and ensure all requests are taken care of. Also it helps us to compile statistics to monitor the timing of issues resolution.
Appian has been a great application to put in place automation and it is easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
The best part about Appian is the low code experience and ability to link to a number of other applications for reporting, automation, data entry, and even API integration.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to code in Appian and create more complication apps, you have to use the proprietary Appian code which can be cumbersome and does have limitations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problems we are solving are related to automation, integration and the ability to have data tracked and flow from one system to another.
I love Appian Cloud
What do you like best about the product?
We have Appian Cloud. The best is new release upgrade. I receive a mail with the date and the day after I have new features in my env. Without issues, without my own work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. every year Appian improve interface and objects to give the best way to users
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our approval workflows in a lot of site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good software, easy to learn and easy to use.
Low Code - great product - robust
What do you like best about the product?
I like using the process modeler to map out the work flow; also like being able to test the UI forms when creating them. Also - although I had learned from the early days - how to create forms using just SAIL, the drag and drop components that have evolved over the years really do make it easy for new developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the quarterly updates usually have some great enhancements, it's cumbersome to have to do regression testing every quarter - would probably prefer updates twice a year which would be more manageable for a cloud customer. Also - if one developer is working on a process, it's not easy to break up the process to allow multiple developers to work on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Improved accountability of tasks with several workflows; migrated legacy data and older workflows easily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take time to assess the business's needs for reporting, workflows, approvals - a little extra time spent on this up front will save time later on.
Emerging Technology

We can build applications in weeks.
What do you dislike about the product?
Appian is having most of the capabilities built-in I would like to see if they focus more on performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All the worklflow related problems and integration with the other systems are seamless with appian last but not lease automating the whole eco system with the RPA capability.
