Web based, easy and intuitive but also helpful for the advanced user
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited adoption across industries compared to Tableau
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Enables us to create visualizations and share them easily across the organization
Solid Product - Doesn't Necessarily Replace a Data Warehouse/Mart
What do you like best about the product?
I'm not sure I like this about it as I come from a strong SQL database background, but for normal business users, tooling with their data and making reports becomes very easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
So this is the other side of the coin compared to what I just said. In our small ish company with about 200 employees, we have over 11,000 cards (reports) and thousands of calculated fields (beast modes). The ease of use for business users has somewhat led to a proliferation of reports, many of which are never seen, but remain, making it somewhat tough to know what you can delete later on. The calculated fields/beast modes also can be done differently depending on what each user takes into account, so it's important to keep those straight.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to connect various data sources into a combined dataset you can build reports off.
Excellent Data Manager and Visualizer All-in-One Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Built-in Connectors to Hundreds of Apps.
What do you dislike about the product?
Recreating simple excel formulas like If statements or Vlookups are not intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating reports automatically vs having to manually update Excel
Great Insights
What do you like best about the product?
I like the different views available to display data sets
What do you dislike about the product?
Shows duplicate opportunities in some reports, but this may be an issue with our Salesforce reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo makes reporting on marketing campaigns much easier.
It's Informative but not very Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
I like that I have a Dashboard that give me data on my accounts, such as renewal percentages, past due, and churn rations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not find it user-friendly when it comes to creating Dashboards, reports, and getting back to them. I generally quit after not being able to find my own reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our compnay uses Domo to track renewals, churn, and account paid statuses. I am able to calculate my personal performance bonus each quarter based on the renewal/churn NDR percentages reports.
Domo from a Data Engineering Perspective
What do you like best about the product?
Domo's visualization options are excellent. They're pretty straightforward to implement. The API for uploading data is well-organized and easy to impelment.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be confusing to figure out the optimal way in which I should organize my data before sending it to Domo. Should I do all the aggregations before sending it to Domo? or should I send my "raw" (but cleaned) data to Domo and then handle my aggregations in Domo? I've done both and the answer is probably "it depends", but it's not clear either way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Displaying data in a clean interface for non-developer users within my company.
Good for small, scrappy teams/businesses
What do you like best about the product?
-Incredibly easy to connect to a multitude of sources/systems/databases
-Chart/dashboard building tools are easy to use
-UI is pleasing overall
-Security management is decent for small businesses

What do you dislike about the product?
-Scalability. Meaning that while Domo is super easy to use, it means it's also super easy to make a mess of your instance. Everything about Domo prioritizes speed and ease of use instead of scalability and following best practices
-Data modeling really isn't a thing
-Pressure to use no/low-code MagicETL instead of SQL dataflows, which have stopped receiving updates and aren't even using modern versions of MySQL (e.g. you can't use window functions)
-Navigation is hit or miss

Company performance across sales, marketing, finance, HR, and so on.
Domo for Marketing
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Domo's robust data visualization and real-time updates. It consolidates data from various sources, providing a comprehensive view of email performance. The customizable dashboards and detailed reports help communicate insights effectively and drive data-driven decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Domo has a steep learning curve for new users and integrating it with niche third-party tools can be challenging. However, its advanced analytics and visualization tools make it worth the effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Domo solves the problem of data fragmentation by integrating with tools like HubSpot, providing a unified view of our email marketing metrics. This consolidation allows for real-time tracking and in-depth analysis, enhancing our ability to optimize campaigns, improve engagement, and make data-driven decisions efficiently.
Solid BI tool, lacks some sophistication
What do you like best about the product?
Relatively easy to learn and use, lots of out of the box connectors makes getting data in easy, and variety of visuals and functions available to make most calculations
What do you dislike about the product?
For complex dataflows, the drag and drop UI can become unweildy. Lack of easy, comprehensive SQL and Python support (without paying for add-ons). Product innovation seems like its behind by 5 years or so
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Centralized business intelligence tool and data warehouse
