Perfect Balance of Security and Usability with Okta
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Okta is its balance between security and usability. It’s rare to find an identity platform that makes life easier for both end users and administrators. The intuitive dashboard, automation features, and integration ecosystem make it a cornerstone for modern identity management

While Okta is powerful, its pricing can be on the higher side for smaller organizations, and some UI areas could be more intuitive. However, the trade-off is solid reliability, security, and scalability — which makes it worth it for most enterprises.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta solves the problem of fragmented identity management. By providing a centralized, secure way to handle authentication and access control, it helps companies protect data, comply with regulations, and improve user productivity. The biggest benefit is trust — knowing the right people have access to the right resources at the right time.
Great Ease of Use, but Occasional Glitches While Traveling

Love that it's easy to use both on mobile and desktop.

Sometimes it glitches when I am traveling.

Single sign-on is the problem it's solving. It benefits me by keeping all of my corporate profiles in one place.

The best thing I liked about this software is with a single login, different apps can be accessed.

Only the interface of the app is outdated. That needs an updation.

The only aspect I don't like is that the interface appears outdated. It could really use an update.

The best thing is that it allows me to access all my applications in a single place.

The only thing that I dislike is its interface which needs to be updated now.

Enhanced Security and Automation with Okta
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Okta automates our application access while enhancing security, supporting a zero-touch deployment model and ensuring security standards. The integration with HRIS systems to automatically import new users is incredibly beneficial. Okta's comprehensive documentation is very helpful from a support perspective. The overall integration capabilities with various tools and the automations provided once tools are integrated make Okta a no-brainer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the initial setup process with Okta quite challenging. While the documentation is robust in certain areas, the activation and integration of specific applications were complicated and required significant interaction with third parties. Additionally, I think Okta's pricing process could benefit from more transparency, as the multiple SKUs can cause costs to increase rapidly. Furthermore, from a leadership perspective, the company's leaders did not necessarily inspire confidence in me.

I find Okta automates application access, enhances security, and supports zero-touch deployment, ensuring required access without compromising standards.

This tool simplifies IAM and policy management, making it easier to handle automation tasks as well.

The ease and security of logging into multiple tools that I use on a daily basis

I think that the code is sometimes enoing, maybe there should be an easier way to handle it

Centralized login for all the tools we currently use, and also now that we are implementing a MCP this had make things easier
