What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Okta is its security feature itself. Okta has a feature where all of your tools are consolidated inside Okta and you can't access those tools without logging in to Okta. This feature made my life easy and my tools secured. I don't have to save a bunch of bookmarks to save my tools, everything is in Okta.

And guess what, I've been using Okta for years and in two different companies. This makes Okta one of the trusted tools for securing every tool and every work account!
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything I don't like about Okta
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta helps me make sure that my work account is secure and consolidates all of my tools in one place, all of them are inside Okta.

What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is to use for passwords/login while also keeping my company and customers safe
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a decent amount of configuration at the beginning, but now it requires virtually no upkeep for myself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta helps us prevent fraud/breaches and internal mayhem through SSO.

What do you like best about the product?
Okta Workforce Identity was very easy to engage with as a user/admin
What do you dislike about the product?
I think some of its SCIM capabilities are limited and that our SysAdmins have been running into issues with configuring that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Okta Workforce Identity is solving issues we had implementing ABAC with our previous IDP

Trusted SSO for your Company

What do you like best about the product?
It is very secure, it has been used as an SSO by our Company. Plus, it is much safer than using Google Passwords as our sign-in authenticator. It's fast and has a password update cycle of 90 days. I use it almost every day, and have been really benefitted by it. It integrated easily with all of my devices, almost simultaneously (like the push notifications).
What do you dislike about the product?
Resetting the same from a mobile device (in case of a new device authenticator) needs a request grant from the IT, which is a bit of a hassle. But on the other hand, it is a good measure to keep the data safe from other vulnerabilities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's mostly the safest and fastest route to get our data secured, and manages every sign-in easily and safely.

Overly Aggressive Sales Tactics

What do you like best about the product?
Okta seemed like a good product, however they had a huge security incident, and their prices are too high.
What do you dislike about the product?
They continue to contact me, even when I have asked them to stop, multiple times. I have told them I went with another solution. They try to patronize me with my selection of a different SSO solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It would have been beneficial for SSO, since we didn't have an SSO provider previously.

What do you like best about the product?
We have integrated almost 300 plus apps within our organisation that includes modern based SAAS app, in-house built and many more. It has taken off the burden of manually managing user account and permissions across all apps in the org and giving more time to IT personnel and othe business users to focus on other task

I wish all of the Microsoft office 365 user attributes could be imported available on Okta
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User Lifecycle management is now controlled by HR system as we have integrated Okta with hr system thus removing the task of user creator and disabling by IT people.

A stable and scalable tool that allows for application control on a single console

What is our primary use case?

I use Okta Workforce Identity in my company since it supports single sign-on (SSO).

Okta Workforce Identity is good for helping control all applications in one console.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of the solution stems from the fact that one can create a lot of workflows with the product while also being able to add Jamf software. One can also add a lot of applications with Okta Workforce Identity so that employees can use and access them from a single console. During employees' onboarding or offboarding processes, it is very easy to activate and deactivate their access.

What needs improvement?

The only area of concern in the solution stems from the fact that my company needs some help regarding the setup phase from a partner.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Okta Workforce Identity for five years. My company is a customer of Okta.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

It is a very stable solution.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

It is a scalable solution.

Around 1,000 people in my company use Okta Workforce Identity. Whatever accesses we provide in our company are provided through Okta.

How are customer service and support?

Whenever my company has raised a ticket with Okta's support team, we always receive immediate support. I rate the technical support a ten out of ten.

For the initial setup phase of Okta Workforce Identity, you need a person from Okta to help you. In general, you may require Okta's partner's help with the initial setup phase.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Price-wise, Okta Workforce Identity is a cheap solution. The overall cost depends on the license since you can negotiate with Okta or any of Okta's partners only if you opt for many licenses.

What other advice do I have?

I have not seen any disadvantages in Okta Workforce Identity. From whatever I have seen and experienced, I can say that Okta Workforce Identity is a good tool.

If you have more than 500 or 1,000 employees in your company with limited IT personnel, then you can use Okta Workforce Identity since it allows you to give access to your employees with just one console. If any employees decide to leave the organization, then it is very easy to deactivate or remove their access from your network. Okta Workforce Identity helps save bandwidth and time.

Once you get the console, it is very easy to access or add applications, reset the password for users, and reset the authenticator. If you have access to KT or knowledge transfer, it is very easy to understand Okta Workforce Identity.

I rate the overall solution a ten out of ten.

What do you like best about the product?
The thing that affects me most while using Okta Workforce Identity is the SSO integration that can be leveraged across most applications within our business. This streamlines the login process and makes it easier for our users to access all applications they need to use with a single click.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a specific anecdote to share regarding anything that I dislike about Okta Workforce Identity, because I think it provides a valuable benefit to organization without really having any detractors that I have experienced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My main experience using Okta Workforce Identity has been leveraging the SSO capability. It has been most helpful in allowing our users to login - whether on their desktop or their mobile - to pretty much any application we have in our software footprint.
