Excellent tool for monitoring our site
What do you like best about the product?
We tried a lot of different tools before settling on Catchpoint. The big differentiators for us were the depth of the analysis, so we can really get to the root of problems when there are errors on our site; and the versatility of the dashboards and analytics, so that we can generate meaningful reports and answer questions that other tools wouldn't be able to express.
We also get good use out of the internal nodes for testing our internal applications.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is some ability to filter out noise but a bit more flexibility there would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Catchpoint both for ongoing monitoring of our site, and for validations during deployments and updates.
Exceptional product and service - treat our relation as both partnership and customer
What do you like best about the product?
Tools make it very easy to fully understand where there are availability and performance issues with customer-facing web applications. And their product provides the ability to dive deeply into the details of the symptoms that help to pinpoint the root cause of problems and opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pay-by-point system that is used to purchase their product can make it challenging to project the cost and track usage of points, though I am not aware of any alternative to this model. It is just something to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The infrastructure used to deliver web applications (websites) to millions of prospects and customers to any device is built on a complex network and software architecture. Many different tools are in place to monitor availability and measure performances within specific systems, layers and components, but we lacked a holistic view from the perspective of the end user. Catchpoint fills that gap and then some. We periodically evaluate alternative tools, but Catchpoint continues to be the most effective and best value since it was first used in 2014.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start with a free trial and ensure you kick the tires hard. Understand the points system before purchasing and make sure someone at your company governs the use of the product and tracks point usage.
Catchpoint is great!
What do you like best about the product?
The Catchpoint adhoc reporting platform is extremely powerful and flexible. Allows us to 'slice and dice' the data in so many ways.
The reporting capabilities are better than Keynote and Gomez, both of whom we previously used.
Account team and dedicated customer success team are proactive and committed to our success.

What do you dislike about the product?
No real downsides iI can think of other than APM in general, with all vendors including Catchpoint, is extremely expensive.
Integration with our AD for user authentication and authorization would be nice.
Integration with our AD for user authentication and authorization would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us measure overall page and site performance and direct and prioritize our development and tuning efforts appropriately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go for it! Best APM SaaS available.
QA Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Mainly I'am working on "Web Transactional" type and it was very useful.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don`t like interface , maybe need to change it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The support help me to solve problem with JS.
URL Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Smart URL monitoring, web, transaction, and many other types of tests, scatter plot and other dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
More flexibility is required regarding test timings, e.g., there is no option to set a 2-minute interval for web tests (object-based). The dashboard has a limitation on the number of test views; this limitation should be removed since we have hundreds of tests for different sites, and we require one dashboard where we can monitor all the tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
url monitoring, transaction tests, dashboards
Catchpoint: the metrics you need and the service you want
What do you like best about the product?
The weekly check ins with what I call my Catchpoint success team! I can be guided through a solution at an understandable pace. If there is more investigation needed I am confident that the Catchpoint team will do what they say they will do (because they never have faulted).
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like time of the day to be more configurable when it comes to scheduled reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am now delving into finer detail of our waterfall to provide more granularity surrounding some new internal SLOs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The Catchpoint offering is something you should seriously look into. You are 100% not forgotten about after you sign the contract. Their support is outstanding!
Without Catchpoint we were flying blind. With Catchpoint its a whole new game for us.
What do you like best about the product?
There are so many amazing capabilities of the Catchpoint platform that it would be hard to list them all here but without Catchpoint we were flying completely blind. We were about to launch a global rebranded/replatformed website for our multi-billion dollar corporation without the ability to measure the true performance of the site from all around the world. With Google now weighting SEO heavily on performance we knew that we were risking our SEO position that we had spent building over the past decade. With Catchpoint's Synthetics reporting and the ability to view desktop and mobile from users around the world on real-world networks - we were able to demonstrate that our performance risks were minimal. We have sense added real user measurement and continue to build out high value dashboards that are used across our organization to proactively monitor, manage, and improve our websites performance. The Catchpoint team is also amazing. In my 40+ years in the IT industry I have yet to experience a customer support organization that is as helpful and as proactive as the Catchpoint team. Their customer success team has been a tremendous asset to us.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything that we dislike about the platform. The only thing that we struggle with is carving out enough time to fully utilize the capabilities of the platform. It is a feature rich platform and we are only scratching the surface on its capabilities. But what we do use is invaluable to our success.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We really had no idea how our new website would perform globally and with Catchpoint we were able to identify performance issues prior to launch, and have continued to use the platform to identify bottlenecks and have addressed those issues resulting in an even faster website. We are discovering platform performance issues (hardware/networks), DNS performance issues, pinpointing specific elements (e.g., a large image that was loading on certain pages, slow Javascript, blocking external scripts), and specific geographies that have performance issues. We are also using the platform to fine tune our mobile version of the website - ensuring that we are meeting Google's targets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
While there were other tools that we looked at, Catchpoint was the only tool that provided the depth and breadth of capabilities that we required to monitor our global presence on the web.
A great tool with a great support team
What do you like best about the product?
I like the tool but I like best the support that Catchpoint provides, it's super fast to get an answer and they keep in touch even after the ticket was closed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes I don't feel the tool very user friendly. Once I had to contact support for a silly question like see the past runs of a script.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have detected production issues or issues with our testing cards thanks to this tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Provide more training on a higher lever, I mean a training for scripting. The training currently included in Catchpoint is mainly oriented to admins.
noob user
What do you like best about the product?
around the world monitoring for a single endpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
multiple spammed messages for same event.

simple up down alerts for particular endpoints. Works well for around the world monitoring, but is monitoring something not in our control.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
costs a lot
Great tool for third-party validation and tests of uptime

World spreaded nodes and flexible tests with selenium like scripts
