powerfull tool with easy integration
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with multiple vendors is easy to use and not only Firewalls can be integrated even network devices, data center switch, web proxy, load balancer etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
the Zone matric is very powerful but unfortunately there is no graphical representation.
Could be expensive if you want to integrate many routers and VRF. Confusing why router and vrf are separate licenses.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Troubleshooting can be easier when someone uses the orchestration solution AFA, AFF and AppViz.
Also, documentation can improve for orchestration end-customers.

Very good experience using Algosec
What do you like best about the product?
I really like using Algosec Firewall Analyzer in addition to its very easy to understand use, Algosec Firewall Analyzer also has a Web GUI that is very easy to operate. AFA is also capable of automatically detecting if there are vulnerabilities in our devices. This really helps us to find if there are any vulnerabilities in the policies we create.
What do you dislike about the product?
There may be a bit of a problem where sometimes if we want to do a session tshoot at a support time of sometimes 30 minutes, that's too short in my opinion. maybe it can be reimprovised again about the timing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The workings of the AlgoSec Security Management Solution (ASMS) are to collect and analyze routing table, ruleset, hit counter, log files, and topology information of each routing table. analyze routing tables, rulesets, hit counters, log files, and topology information from each of the Network Security Network Security devices, such as Firewalls, Routers, and others. AlgoSec Security Management Solution (ASMS) is able to integrate and pull information from Vulnerability Assessment scanners, and application connectivity needs from the CMDB (Configuration Management Database), spreadsheets, and Firewall rules. What do you like best about the product?
It was helpful to figure out the traffic flows in the network. Saved us time. Had some questions which we needed to go and reach out to support for which got resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the individuals I spoke to had difficulty understanding my questions. Communication was challenging, but we got there in the end. I was satisfied with the answer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we have problems in needing to map out application traffic in the network, Algosec is one of the first pieces of software that I think of.
Best of the Bread Firewall Analyzer with Great Visibility.
What do you like best about the product?
Managing Cross-Platform Firewalls like Palo Alto and Checkpoint was never easy without AlgoSec, as they both have different definitions. Unlike others, it leverages the routing data with the topologies of the FW using, which helps a lot from the visibility perspective.
What do you dislike about the product?
Traffic Simulation and Fire flow can use some improvement. User-defined flow customization needs a good amount of training.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
After the technical analysis, we found AlgoSec advanced over the competition in every aspect that makes us go towards it. we were looking for a solution that could utilize our limited physical resources to manage multi-vendor firewalls.

What do you like best about the product?
The best is Firewallanylizer and Fireflow (ITSM tool), which is perfectly developed according to industry standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
From Firewallanylizee, we can only push FW rules, but you can push the security profile.

With FW compliance, we can resolve all FW compliance in the audit report (PCI)

Algosec will not only scan devices for security prespective but it will also help to identify the operational issue in network devices.

Sync b/w algosec and network devices are usually lost and administration interfaces are slight hard and not user friendly

We acquired Algosec to comply as per PCI DSS standards regarding Network devices configuration related observations.

What do you like best about the product?
AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA) provides insight into your firewalls and network infrastructure. It simplifies security policy management by enabling organizations to virtualize and manage multiple policies set in one place. AFA optimizes the network security policy throughout its life cycle to accelerate application delivery while ensuring security and compliance.
What do you dislike about the product?
AlgoSec FireFlow module (security policy change management and automation) is somewhat customizable. Before matching your company's needs, you need to understand the mechanism and workflow. Integrating with the third party required a deeper understanding of each solution, and I strongly advise obtaining professional services from the AlgoSec team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Companies with multiple tiers of firewalls or security policy complexity are highly recommended to use AlgoSec to achieve optimization and ensure most risks have been rectified and comply with regulations.

What do you like best about the product?
The analysis carried out on Firewalls really makes things easier: administration, detection of configuration errors due to human error, change control, topologies and last but not least, optimization of security policies, all in one place.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunately, the solution does not fully integrate with all dynamic objects on some brands of firewalls

The interface is extremely intuitive, which makes the management/administration of your own security and that of clients extremely effective.
You need a tool like this to be a part of your security program
What do you like best about the product?
Everyone needs to know how effective their firewalls are. They need to know what rules are used and which ones are not and they need to make the firewalls more efficient. Firewall rules need to be documented for compliance audits. And application flows are key as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, I do not have enough personal hands-on experience with the tool to make any dislike determinations, so therefore I cannot suggest how to make significant improvements with this product.

It helps clients with firewall efficiency and visibility of their applications. Firewalls and applications are part of a good segmentation strategy which is an essential part of a good security program. And everyone benefits from having happy secure clients.
