What do you like best about the product?
This is a very easy to use platform, I think this is very well organized, you will always get support when you need it, specifically in the iPhone App.
There is a Mentor Course, for those chosen that have been good at some courses.
You can find almost everything (talking about courses), of lots of topics and categories. It's simply amaizing.
You can learn a lot, even if you don't pay for the certificate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some courses videos and documents are not up to date.

I have learned a lot.
You can get courses and even a Specialization Certificate supported by a recognized University around the world with this Platform.

Learning new skills
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Certifications are good and need commitment. Feel free to learn and get certified if you need it.

Coursea is the best online learning platform yet

  • March 15, 2017
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is a large selection of courses available to chose from, and the resources are quite detailed. If I need assistance with anything I can reach out to the help desk and they are happy to assist
What do you dislike about the product?
Coursera doesn't offer courses in Robotics Process Automation (RPA). I needed this for my work however they did not offer it and thus I had to go to another company. Their selection in mega/emerging trend topics is some-what limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera has lots to offer on Big Data analytics. We are solving the challenge of switching over to big data platform from our old silo'ed and static databases. Coursera has plenty of useful information in that respect.

Now they changed their inner policies to force you to stay on course, while you're enlisted. It can be tough but it's a way to finish on time.

Useful for Self-Motivated Learners

  • January 23, 2017
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciated the inclusion of courses from well-respected universities and professors, which made me feel like i was getting more value than if it would have been from places I had never heard of, or even just by Coursera staff.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not a huge fan of forums as the main form of communication between classmates. It did not create a sense of group-learning for me; it just felt like another task to check off the list. I would rather either be a completely independent learner or be engaged in meaningful learning with others beyond a requirement to post/respond a certain number of times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Coursera definitely solves a problem for self-motivated learners who are looking for an inexpensive option to engage in ongoing education or pick up specific skills. I learned I am not in that category. While using Coursera, I would watch the videos but not follow through on assignments, because I was more interested in the general knowledge for myself - as if I was reading a book. For truly engaged learning, I've found on-campus, classroom experiences to be best for me.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I think this could be an okay option for employers looking to offer education opportunities for their employees, but I think that it would need some kind of oversight or reinforcement. Perhaps companies could sign people up for certain classes in cohorts, so they can add an element of in-person engagement.

Coursera helped me redesign my goals

  • November 24, 2016
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
High quality courses, diversity of choices, from business to programming, from mathematics to philosophy. The courses are very well designed and the platform is of excellent quality. I appreciate the availability of university lecturers to serve as instructors of the courses. This gives more respect and recognition for the courses. The courses have the advantage of not being very strict on the timelines. They correctly assume that people who do these courses are busy, sometimes cannot commit to timelines that are normal in an on-campus education.
Coursera offers courses that explain difficult concepts in an intuitive way so that the students understands and applies what they learn. It's why learning leads to practice. This is my first experience of having excellent instructors and excellent content delivery. This has changed my professional goals, from teaching to business.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some courses seem to be easier. There other courses that should be updated. Another problem, i think that instead of translating the courses, Coursera should invite universities of different speaking countries to deliver their courses in other languages other than English.
Since these courses are serious, students who complete successfully should be gratified with a recognition and recommended to post-graduate courses by their instructors. Conditions would apply, but this should be a possibility to be considered.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started using Coursera in 2015. Since then, I'm planning to create a company. What hinders me now are financial resources, but this problem will be overcome soon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Coursera is an educational website that trains professional through an immersive online experience of teaching for practice. this approach leads people to tackle their problems in a new fashion and test the validity of their learning by practice.

What do you like best about the product?
I like newsletters recommending upcoming courses that I might be interested in. Also, great UI, communication...
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't have much to say. I would like a bit more transparency with payed and free courses and info about that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Marketing issues. It helped me with social courses and materials
