Fast that ever
What do you like best about the product?
Everything can be done using command prompt, faster installations of software, beautiful UI, faster access to any directories.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some user functionalities were missing in before 18th version but it got updated in new version. Still. It can be made prolific

My entire project will be done on ubuntu, it's easy to use and do what ever stuff we can

it's clean, simple developer centric user interface

we can't install and use multiple third party applications which are better on windows rather than linux

Development becomes easier and networking commands are friendly in ubuntu

It's so good working on it... I was very accustomed to working on windows but i also started liking

The fact that it is an open software .. also it is light and i linke the shell scripting a lot which makes it spl too

The graphical user interface sometimes is not that good compared to windows but we pay a lot to work on windows whereas it's free to work on ubuntu

Go for it but has some issues initially, but you will get used to it

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, excellent support and a large community behind it. Many software systems that support Linux require Ubuntu Linux to run. Also very modern system
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest problem I have with Ubuntu is the lack of backward compatibility with some past versions. Sometimes after a major update past versions may not be supported again and thus if you are using those versions you will stop receiving updates after a while. I suggest you have a good backup policy if you plan to run some production system on Ubuntu or get the LTS system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I basically use Ubuntu to do machine learning with Tensorflow. I have received many benefits in terms of speed and ease of use while doing so. Ubuntu is an excellent Linux system and highly recommended for some kinds of performance computing.

If you're getting into Machine Learning or Linux this the first place you should be looking at. Ubuntu is user-friendly and performance-oriented. It is the open-source contender to the Windows operating system.

I can not really see anything I dislike about Ubuntu. I have messed around with the OS and like the layout. It is something different than traditional Windows or Mac OS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of the problems I've had with Ubuntu would be compatibility issues. Obviously the big 2 operating systems are Windows and Mac OS. Linux even gets more compatibility but I know Ubuntu has it's audience.

What do you like best about the product?
The best and useful tool in UBUNTU (and LINUX in general) is the bash shell. For me this is indispensable for any IT consultant/developer. I can connect through ssh to the server we use to read logs, deploy software and start web/application servers. I can search file easly and quickly by find, or words in a file by grep. I use VIM every day every time to open text files

The only problem is that some useful software are not compatible with UBUNTU

I use it everyday at work, and I cannot work with any other OS

Learn how to use bash shelle and you can do anything

The speed is incredible but there so much to be thought about for it to be mainstream.

Not many apps are compatible, the most used apps should be at least, like word, excel, Photoshop

Speed is definitely one of the strongest point

Go for it. If you can make it work for you the. It's the best. Just depends what you use it for.
