Best OS for developers
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu has the best interface and terminal to execute and test apps, websites, code and software. I have been using Ubuntu for more than 6 years and I have been able to smoothly avoid the technical glitches of Windows systems. It is faster and has ample power to run code and is more friendly to editors. The sudo command helps user take administrator control using just a single line.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not as media and internet friendly as Windows systems. Sound interface and video streaming is a little glitchy and needs work. Not user friendly for non technical users that need just to unwind and watch a movie. It is meant for software development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using Ubuntu to build apps, integrate frontend with backend, run processes, test code, add features and build containers, run scripts, etc. I can then even remotely integrate code into production and see it run smoothly on Windows systems as well. Benefits mainly are most third party softwares that I use for development and modules, etc can be easily installed on Ubuntu as it is Linux based.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is open source with no support but if used the right way it can be an amazing platform to use for development and integration.
It is a great server! Easy to use once installed!
What do you like best about the product?
Process in Ubuntu Linux can be controlled and customized.
Applications that are deployed run fast and are easily scalable.
It is open source which I really like. It is also user friendly. It is very versatile, as a lot of free and open-source software. We find it extremely reliable as a desktop and server OS.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not as much support for apps as Windows, so its reach should be widened.
No dedicated support to contact through if anyone need it.
Not much suitable for beginners on the instal
In my opinion. One downside is that if you are not familiar with Ubuntu Linux, it can be very confusing; however, once you have a grasp of the concepts and fundamentals, it is a breeze to manage. Linux is more of a do it yourself OS

I see for Ubuntu to help manage cloud applications. It is easy to implement on Linux based systems and is more safe and reliable in case of process management.

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu became an important advance to bring to common users, an operating system like GNU / Linux that is aimed at computer and systems professionals. Its simple installation and requirements of few hardware resources, has made it the favorite of many people who previously only used Windows-based operating systems, and who now had the opportunity to manage a robust, safe and cost-free operating system.
