Ubuntu is an excellent unix based operating system, fun to work with.
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu is very easy to download. The most recent version is available as an open source version online. With a few clicks and a bunch of straightforward steps to follow, the installation is quite easy. Post-installation steps are quite easy to execute. Any package that needs to be installed could be easily taken care of using a 'pip install' command. The user of this server becomes the default administrator and is able to carry out any operations of admin interest with ease. Ubuntu recent version is ver. 20.04 which supports most of the application downloads with ease. It's one of the most easy operating systems to work with if you are a Unix savvy.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times, not all the required packages are installed by default. You will need to perform your due diligence in locating the missing packages. At times, the nature of errors encountered could be a bit daunting. Not everytime, you will be able to find information about these errors online. There could be times when it might take a few days figuring out the solution. The packages of your interest may be distributed across several different sub packages and it's vital that you figure out the exact names of these sub packages for successfully installing the packages on a holistic front.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu has all the packages needed for ETL including some of the core languages like Python, Databases and SQL based operations. The ability of Ubuntu to interface with several applications is one of the salient features. Using Ubuntu, a successful configuration of Apache Airflow was carried out. All the config files, dependent files, folders including the image files for containers were successfully installed and implemented in Ubuntu. Docker and kubernetes cluster set up could also be successfully implemented in Ubuntu. Ubuntu necessarily supported all the mandated packages and tools needed to carry out the end to end ETL operations in my organization and was one of the relaible servers to depend upon.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ubuntu server could be considered as your premium choice if you are good in unix and looking to create a platform to carry out operations on a fact paced note. Owing to its open source feature, the server is easy to locate and install. The operations to be carried out could at times be a bit tricky for first time users but they will get a hang of it in a few days. Definitely worth a try!!!

What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu Desktop is secure and has an in-built firewall which makes it different from other desktop. It is built on the foundation of Debian's architecture and infrastructure

Security and devs who are not good with Linux cli can quickly learn and grow their skills using Ubuntu Desktop.
Trust Ubuntu in a thorough networking and programming environment
What do you like best about the product?
Ubuntu has a good level of security, it's robust, scalable, and fast as compared to Windows. It is scalable due to its ability to be intergraded with other software. It's secure since the user doesn't have to install an antivirus to have their files secure. This makes Ubuntu preferred since the user's main worry of data/files loss or corruption by malware is a forgotten history.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ubuntu has many benefits compared to its dislikes. The only dislike about Ubuntu is its unfriendly user interface. Most users prefer GUI interfaces. Command-line interfaces user does have issues with navigation since it's not intuitive like windows where there are many icons that easily conforms to user mental models of the intended task and expected outcome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Ubuntu for general internet access. We have enjoyed data and file security from attacks from the internet. In addition, we use Ubuntu platforms in programming tasks. In this area its keys since we have been able to integrate it with other systems due to its robustness features and fast as compared with Windows

What do you like best about the product?
The boot time of the Operating System is significantly less compared to other operating systems. It has mesmerizing soothing looks, like icons, window tabs, etc. The Ubuntu Operating System had high security since it's created on Linux architecture. The UI of Ubuntu is a perfect combination for both types of users, new and advanced users. Provide support for a lot of day-to-day used software. Even if the device has a low-level set of hardware, it works smoothly. The way it supports the latest graphics driver is a blessing in disguise.
What do you dislike about the product?
With time, Ubuntu has developed, and many people have become very user-friendly with the operating system, so it will be rude to say it have any dislikes. Apart from many developments, few improvements are still needed like; it needs official support for some standard Windows applications like Adobe Products, Microsoft Office.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ubuntu solved many issues I was facing with windows 10 like slow internet, fast boot and reboot time, frequent lagging of system due to RAM used by other applications. I don't have to wait longer for couple of minutes to start my system. There are support for a lot of typical applications, so it is easier to adapt with Ubuntu for new users like me who recently switched to Ubuntu from Windows 10.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One should change their Operating System to Ubuntu or keep both Windows and Ubuntu. Ubuntu is straightforward to learn and use, so new users can quickly adapt to this operating system. Also, Ubuntu is faster than Windows 10 with the same resources.

What i like most about ubuntu server is its ui generally unix platform based os in the market doesnot have much flexibility in terms of user interface and usability. Atleast when you are switching from windows server to unix server.

Main constaraint of ubuntu server is its compatiability with other software which we are using in daily basis may be for personal use or for professional purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benefits os ubuntu is its kernal structure which is quite safe in terms of any security attack.

Other user who are considering unix server as an option always shall recomend to go for ubuntu as comparing to other available os its user friendliness is quite better.
Fast and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is very easy to use and it is light! So much faster than the other OS I used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Depending on the software you need, you're going to learn command lines to be able to install it. Also, the risk of a new device not connecting and you need to install drivers manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Not having to pay for an OS, and it is fast which means I have much fewer memory issues and slowness.
Entry Level OS with GUI Interface
What do you like best about the product?
First thing is, it's opensource free OS which easily work on basic system configuration without hanging or consuming the system resources. Due to command based system Linux was not so popular in end users but this is good option with very less commands and user interface is also very simple. Some of the applications are already preinstalled in this system which fulfillls the basic needs like browsing.This option is very economical option in the operating systems.Security is better as regular updates are there to upgrade the system ans security.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficult to adapt for existing user of Windows as the commands are completely changed and after replacing with this OS user may getting irretated due to flexibility. This is the best options for developers but not for the general users thoug multiple general usage applications are preinstalled in it but mostly persons are habitual to MS Windows OS. The major challenge to adapt this OS is "People are already adicted to Wondows OS and they dont want to adapt new system".The another reason for this is the flexibility as its very less flexible than windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security is fas better in this as compare to windows and so issue in terms of support. As it's free to use so no impact on the budget and with regular updates, new application will work properly like after closing support of WindowsXP the browsers are not working and people are facing lots of issues even in internet surfing, such issues are not there with this operating system. open office is easily available to replace office as all basic functionalities are already there.

What do you like best about the product?
We deployed the ubuntu server in our organization mainly for different services, we are using this for services like DHCP, DNS, and Syslog server, and the time is taken for configuring these services is very minimal. till now they are working and serving perfectly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing more to dislike. I like the ubuntu server very well because it is open source and used for several purposes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We solved the problems like DHCP, DNS, and Syslog servers and they are working well. Other than this, there are more documents available on the internet for configuring different services.

I dislike a little bit using ubuntu for Two major reasons "Popularity" and "Unity".

In Ubuntu, the design decision makes sense on mobile devices, or when you use your machine for no more than texting and the internet. But on a laptop or workstation, when you are doing serious work, it's a correctable but nagging efficiency.

My Samsung laptop R- series is very old. I was trying to install windows but I felt then I installed ubuntu 20.04 LTS this is working awesome so ubuntu support is excellent and now I am developing projects using ubuntu operating syatem in python and Django I am feeling very easy to install any packages and software using terminal command.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend every person to use ubuntu because this OS is virus-free, safe, and stable. The only route to get infected by the virus if we download files and install self.
First-time will face a little bit of difficulty to use UBUNTU and also you will hate it but after some time you will definitely like this OS and trust me you will never use other OS because Ubuntu is more secure and save comparison to other OS.
