Open source, freezes less, easy to use and navigate, helps in research, easy package installations, can customize packages as per requirements, easy to modify packages
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a purely community ran disco, main reason is it sacrifices ease for control, have to build it from the group up so in some cases it can lead to time wastage

I do my entires research on Ubuntu, it is easy to use open source packages and since I am already using some of the opensource applications, I am dependent on them

Probably there is the main issue facing while we are joining this version with an active directory. It's an issue to join Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or upper versions to the active directory.

A clean platform with all ease to perform operation from command line
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like about ubuntu platform is the UI is clean there are no random services running which are no use to, also you can perform all your download and install for your services from command line. It provides you a user friendly UI with no lengthy operations and easy manipulation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The thing which I didn't like are softwares compatibility. In today we have many software which supports ubuntu platform and we can use them, but still I find we are restricted to some of specific fields. The other concern for me is regarding privacy and protection. It quite easy to mess up with the ubuntu platform and you have to be an expert to handle those situations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The benifits which I find is usage of command line we can easily manipulate files, folder, and download and install service from one window which is the terminal. You don't have to switch to multiple windows to perform small operation like edit, copy, move and install. Also you can manage many more things from terminal for which you need to be aware off. And the clean UI is itself a boon to use this platforms.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a clean interface with faster operation you should definitely switch to onw of the best os platform. It will also help you to improve in your command line activities.
