Effortless Team Scheduling and Priority Tracking with Float

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Float is great to see my schedule at a glance to understand what the team's priorities are for a given week or month. Being able to see my fellow teammates' schedules is also valuable to know if they're heads-down on something big and shouldn't be bothered, or if they're more open for collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
I often use Float in split view, so the screen is quite narrow. When this happens some of the UI is no longer visible, such as the "Today" button.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organizing and viewing complex schedules for multiple team members.

Color-Coded Clarity, But Interface Could Be Larger

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like how each client can be colour coded so you can visually see how much time is being allocated to each client and see at a glance what I'm working on for the day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things could be displayed bigger, sometimes the smaller sections are hard to see.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving our issues of time management and allocating tasks and allows us to ensure we are billing our clients properly.

Effortless Scheduling, But Lacks Advanced Project Management Features

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Float is its simple, visual scheduling interface — it makes it incredibly easy to see team availability, assign work, and manage capacity in real time without complex setup or clutter.
What do you dislike about the product?
it has limited advanced features — for example, deeper project-management functionality (tasks, milestones, dependencies), comprehensive financial/budget tracking, and robust reporting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps us solve the challenge of balancing project demand with team capacity. It gives us clear visibility into who’s available, when, and with what skills — helping us allocate the right people to the right projects ahead of time.

Great for Project Overviews, But Time Boxing Limits Flexibility

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Free text notes section to include project overview lets team understand the allocation at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not Float's fault, but the strict time boxing can impede on my creativity and prevent me from managing my own time or completing work when inspiration strikes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allows us to push through large volumes of work with more ease and organisation.

Effortless Workload Planning with Float

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Float makes it really simple to plan and track my workload. I also use it as a to-do tool. Every Monday I plan my week using the allocation feature, so I know exactly what I’ll be working on. Working at an agency, it’s been a great way to stay organized across projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m very happy with Float overall. The only small issue I’ve noticed is that some meetings sometimes appear twice, so I just remove the duplicates manually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps me manage my time and workload clearly. Before using it, it was hard to see how much I could actually take on each week. Now I can plan ahead, balance client projects, and avoid overbooking myself. It also makes it easy for my team to see what everyone is working on, which helps with coordination across projects.

Clear Scheduling at a Glance, But Limited Budgeting and App Integrations

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The clarity of scheduling and immediate information at a glance
What do you dislike about the product?
The budgeting capabilities are very limited to time, and cross app-integrations are also limited (cake based only)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to schedule in staff on projects at any given time interval. We used to manage staff on outlook shared calendars which was limited and did not screen double/triple-booking works, and was difficult to read. Now we can see who's projects you are working on and how much time is allocated.
