Effective Task Management and Time Tracking Solution
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Float is specifically dedicated to making it easier to assign tasks and stay on budget with hours. It stands out from general project management tools I've tried, like Monday and Blue CRM, which don't provide the same clarity and team synchrony. Float makes assigning specific tasks straightforward and helps avoid confusion and lost overviews, which used to happen before with just Slack updates. The time scheduling feature integrates seamlessly with Slack to keep everything clear for team members. I find the time tracking feature to be an excellent balance between ensuring accountability and avoiding micromanagement. The scheduling and timeline assignment functionalities are invaluable as they align perfectly with our needs for managing both day-to-day tasks and monthly planning, offering a comprehensive solution that eliminates the need for juggling multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think sometimes Float has a little bit too much functionality. The forecasting feature is not necessarily something that we need. In the scheduling, you can currently place notes, but it would be useful if this feature was more structured. A quick video or a more comprehensive summary that is easier to read would be nice. Currently, it's just a small text field. Making it bigger or providing more space for context would be very appreciated.

Float helps us manage task assignments and track hours efficiently, preventing overcommitment and providing team clarity. It simplifies task scheduling, offering insights that other tools didn't deliver.
Great Live Tracking, Needs Daily Time Lock Feature
What do you like best about the product?
Live tracking of time alloted to work. Nice looks.

There should be an option to lock allocation time for a day. For example 8h daily allocation

Float makes project planning and timesheets effortless
What do you like best about the product?
The schedule view and drag-and-drop interface make it very quick to allocate work and see who’s available. For example, when I need someone for a project I can immediately see who’s free or over-booked. Timesheet submission is easier because it pre-fills based on scheduled work. That saves a lot of time compared with manually entering everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
Also, it would be great if Float sent reminders or notifications when a timesheet is due or a leave request is approved, so I don’t have to keep checking manually.

The automatic timesheet entries based on scheduled tasks save me a lot of effort, I just review and submit instead of entering everything manually. Applying for time off is also very easy. I can quickly see my leave balance and how my leave affects the team’s schedule.
Overall, Float helps me stay organized, accurate, and transparent with my working hours and leave requests. It’s really convenient and user-friendly.

The tracking of simplified projects. The organization by project phases. The "planning" part which is easy to use. The timer to log in real time. The easy visualization. The reports to track the remaining time and where we are and to share it.

The import of Google Calendar appointments that causes a bit of a mess

The app offers straightforward planning and provides a clear overview of all tasks.

The software tends to become somewhat laggy when used by multiple users or over extended periods of time.

We use it to keep track of our current tasks and to plan upcoming ones. It also allows us to see when each person has available resources for new assignments.

The project management with different team is made easy by Float, and It makes things clear in tracking who is doing what, especially when it comes to avoid people working on tasks where they were not assigned on
Daily Essential for Organization, But Needs an Undo Feature
What do you like best about the product?
It is quite easy to find the information I need and organise my schedule. I use it every day and it makes my life easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it is easy to break stuff by drag&dropping accidentally. An "undo" functionality could improve this.

It helps me consult my team's schedule at a glance and help organising resources.
