Float has revolutionized our agency resource management workflow
What do you like best about the product?
After researching many different options, Float quickly became our top choice and has been an incredible addition to our agency's operational platforms. The simplicity of use and the focus on resource management and team bandwidth was exacrtly what we needed in order to streamline how we were utilizing our resources across every account and department.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside which is not a significant issue is that our customer success rep was located in a completely opposite time zone then where we are, so finding time to meet to discuss questions wasn't as easy as I would have preferred considering we were enterprise customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a simple way of limiting the ability to schedule work for certain resources based on the allocation per account that they were assigned. We needed to find a way to flag overallocation so that we weren't giving certain clients who are on retainer more hours and time than they pay for. This helps ensure that we aren't diminishing our margins and can more easily flag when we need to have discussions with our clients about overallocation and additional budget needs.
Good tool for activity control
What do you like best about the product?
I use float as an analyst. I like the fact that the tool has few options in the left-hand menu, which makes it easier to learn the platform. It only has scheduele, report and log time (in my version). It's also possible to explore the other functionalities in a few minutes, which makes it easier to discover new possibilities for everyday use. I really like the schedule function, as it helps me to see my agenda for the day and if the time allocated to a particular activity is different, I can easily arrange it before clicking on log time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like the integration function with Google calendar. Although it makes everyday life easier, it always pulls up the entire agenda (even those that have already been closed), which is why most people choose not to integrate with Google Calendar. Another thing I don't like is the time in the schedule function, because it's broken, 0.5, 0.75, 1.... I don't think this part makes it any easier for tasks that require times that aren't fulls.

Organizing the agenda and understanding how much time was being spent on each client.

What do you like best about the product?
I love the way I can organize myself on a daily basis. I schedule my time and have visibility over my time management.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited precision, meaning that not all numbers can be represented exactly, rounding error, which can distort results in complex calculations.

I can have more efficiency in the prioritization and execution of my activities.

Great tool for organizing Staff and Project Schedules
What do you like best about the product?
I love how easy it is to use and how it is available both on my phone and online. It updates seamlessly and is very good for organizing staff and project schedules.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does have a bit of a learning curve in the begining which is solved by having trainings (Very thurough) and practice using it. I think that sometimes people create projects (That are not real) and that can mix things up with emails, schedules and other aspects. Otherwise I learned very quickly how to use it without any previous knowledge. Customer support is very helpful. I use this daily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing who is working on what projects and when. It is great for scheduling and assigning work and knowing who is available and who is busy. It also enables me to see who is in the field, the office or working from home. It is simple to use and read.

It helps us combine various tools into one. We used to use so many sheets and notion, but now we just have float and the team has great visibility of all resources.
Perfect for Organizing Team Traffic and Easy Monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
This app is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly. I particularly appreciate the mobile option, as it allows me to monitor both my traffic and my team’s in real-time, anytime. It's a great asset for us project managers who need to organize our team’s time effectively. Additionally, the reporting section is extremely helpful for analyzing team performance, which allows me to make informed decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that could make it even better would be integrations with other corporate apps or software to ensure everything is more connected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This app helps me track how much time my team is spending on various tasks and provides insight into their workload. It’s invaluable for understanding the distribution of tasks and managing team capacity effectively.
Useful tool but take some time to get used to it.

Float is not made for big agendas, it could be more.
