Amazing
What do you like best about the product?
My entire job is on this site - there is no other program as comprehensive and robust, collecting data reports and scheduling for digital design and production teams. I can add and move tasks with ease, follow up to ensure tasks are completed, place holds, and optimize work flow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the program shown real-time collaborations, rather than needing to be refreshed to show changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I love the Reports option after scheduling - this allows me to create a capacity chart to analyze bottlenecks within the production process.
A solid tool with solid functionality
What do you like best about the product?
It's a nice visual tool that encourages collaboration.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with another tool would be helpful to reduce the software stack.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float enables us to work more collaboratively and have a complete overview of each person's workload.
Great project management tool
What do you like best about the product?
I trialled multiple project management tools and I liked how straightforward Float is - it's easy to scale and to fill in and it keeps everyone accountable without the fuss of being caught up in bells and whistles.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can feel a little fiddly at time, especially when projects autoload when you click on a time/day.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float adds great visibility to the team, especially when you're balancing multiple projects. You have total visibility and can move things around with ease.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a bit fiddly, but keep with it.
Good software
What do you like best about the product?
Good user interface which is nice looking.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some functionality missing currently which could be added in future.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using for team workflows, some benefits for tracking of projects vs Excel
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learn together as part of team
Great but flawed
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to use, easy to add projects and jobs and has significantly improved our productivity
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of customisation options for example: Reordering your day so that the morning is at the top and the afternoon at the bottom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We spend less time organising workload and more time actually creating things which is the best outcome we could ask for really.
Review
What do you like best about the product?
It works fine, the colour doing is clear.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, although I only use it to see what projects I'm on.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Before I had to ask the project managers which jobs I was on when and chase them for job numbers to do my timesheets.
Easy scheduling platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to access and being able to see what projects I am assigned to in the long term
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering by installer/project could be more user friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term project assignment
Great product and easy use!
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very useful for daily workload management. Easy interface and great features!
What do you dislike about the product?
Very rarely does it happen but sometimes there is a glitch which misplaces tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management is the main problem that is solved with this. Being in media, account managers can view your workload and book time in accordingly.
Scheduling work is a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to change work schedule as client demands change; also get a complete view of entire team's workload
What do you dislike about the product?
Only a few people control access so you're reliant on the them to make updates; more decentralized control could be better (but that's probably just the setting our company chooses)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is better utilized now because it's easy to see gaps in work schedules and fill them.
Flexible scheduling for collaborative schedulgin
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to collaborate on the schedule. We set milestones and deliverables, HR look after employee leave, and float just gives us all that information on one screen. Makes it super easy to forsee bottlenecks, and deal with them in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ordering small slivers of work if you're doing less than a quarter of a day at a time can be fiddly, but since our scheduling is more often than not only half a day or full day at a time, this isn't something we typically have an issue with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency. Account managers are able to see precisely how busy the studio is, what our deadlines are, and can give more accurate 'guesstimates' when in front of clients. This has led to actually winning more work, because we aren't simply guessing, we are able to deliver on time.
