Easy scheduling platform
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to access and being able to see what projects I am assigned to in the long term
What do you dislike about the product?
Filtering by installer/project could be more user friendly
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Long term project assignment
Great product and easy use!
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very useful for daily workload management. Easy interface and great features!
What do you dislike about the product?
Very rarely does it happen but sometimes there is a glitch which misplaces tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time management is the main problem that is solved with this. Being in media, account managers can view your workload and book time in accordingly.
Scheduling work is a breeze
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to change work schedule as client demands change; also get a complete view of entire team's workload
What do you dislike about the product?
Only a few people control access so you're reliant on the them to make updates; more decentralized control could be better (but that's probably just the setting our company chooses)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our team is better utilized now because it's easy to see gaps in work schedules and fill them.
Flexible scheduling for collaborative schedulgin
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to collaborate on the schedule. We set milestones and deliverables, HR look after employee leave, and float just gives us all that information on one screen. Makes it super easy to forsee bottlenecks, and deal with them in advance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ordering small slivers of work if you're doing less than a quarter of a day at a time can be fiddly, but since our scheduling is more often than not only half a day or full day at a time, this isn't something we typically have an issue with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency. Account managers are able to see precisely how busy the studio is, what our deadlines are, and can give more accurate 'guesstimates' when in front of clients. This has led to actually winning more work, because we aren't simply guessing, we are able to deliver on time.
A must for the modern professional
What do you like best about the product?
The application offers a very flexible and extensive feature available for the users and administrators to schedule and plan what they need to for a period of time. The slots offer customization and is easy to read and understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ability to view all tasks or resources from a larger or more distant view is hard and not easy to navigate. For instance all the tasks for a year.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to easily manage and determine where and when certain deliverables of projects needs to happen or be completed. Float has made it possible for us as a team to easily communicate when certain tasks and resources needs to be done or approved.
Very easy to use and very visual
What do you like best about the product?
Like how easy it is to manage resources and the visual aspect of the software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I did not find anything yet that I do not like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Resource Management and task management. Much better overview than spreadsheets.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use free trail to test it out. Worth it!
Simple and convenient
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and convenience. Easy to use interface and the most needed informations visible immediately.
What do you dislike about the product?
Scrolling speed through tasks, it's a little bit buggy
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My team is planning tasks for designers and developers with Float. Our work is well organized and simple to make changes in somebody's weekly plan
Recommendations to others considering the product:
highly recommended for teams bigger than 10 people for planning work
Great for scheduling
What do you like best about the product?
We are big fans of Float, it schedules our studio and keeps us organized. We have tried many other solutions over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a positive and a negative, the software doesn't have a ton of features, but that's what we like about it. It does scheduling really well, and is super fast now that there's been an update. We really like it, despite its narrow focus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting everyone on the same page, daily, with what work needs to happen. Also forecasting big batches of work and making sure we're covered - resource-wise.
Float Review
What do you like best about the product?
East to manage team projects and assign work flow
What do you dislike about the product?
Wish there was a way to track hours by account and team member
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
scheduling
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Hour time table tracking
Float is a great tool for seeing and managing project schedules.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to visually see what the whole team is up to in one place. The simplicity of moving around/adjusting schedules on the fly.
What do you dislike about the product?
When tasks need to be reassigned (to other team members) there doesn't seem to be a way to do this in bulk. I have to manually move each piece of the project to the assigned person. I'm pretty new to Float, so I may have not learned how to do this, but at a minimum, it's not obvious or easy to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have approximately 34 team members and constantly fluctuating project schedules. Float is super helpful for having one place to see what everyone is up to and being able to efficiently schedule project resources.
