Efficient Resource Planning Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Float has been an exceptional tool for our organization's resource planning. Its user-friendly interface makes scheduling very easy, and the drag-and-drop feature simplifies adjustments, saving us a lot of time. We use it daily to view resource availability in real-time and this allows us to allocate our team effectively, ensuring no one is overbooked. The integration with Outlook in our example has also streamlined our workflow, making Float a central hub for all our planning needs. The customer support is responsive and helpful whenever we've had questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Float has been largely beneficial, one area that could improve is the reporting functionality. It would be great to have more advanced reporting options directly within Float, particularly for tracking long-term trends in resource utilization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float has significantly improved our resource allocation and project management processes. Before using Float, we often struggled with overlapping schedules in Outlook and other tools and underutilized resources, leading to inefficiencies and delays. Now, with Float, we have a clear overview of our team’s availability, allowing us to assign tasks more effectively and avoid bottlenecks. This has led to better project outcomes and increased productivity across our organization. The ability to forecast resource needs also helps us plan for future projects more accurately.

The platform is easy to use, very intuitive and parameters/tweaks can be easily found

For the time being I have yet to dislike anything about Float

Float makes Project Management so much easier!
What do you like best about the product?
Float makes managing my team's schedule so much easier. I use it everyday and can't picture my work without it. The visual interface is intuitive and lets me quickly see who’s working on what and when. The drag-and-drop functionality makes updating the schedule a breeze. Plus, the time tracking and reporting tools give me a clear view of how projects are progressing, so I can make informed decisions without any guesswork. Overall, Float has streamlined our workflow and made resource management much more efficient.

Limited data exporting options (only .CSV).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Float has streamlined our project management process, making it easier to allocate resources, adjust schedules, and track progress. This has led to better workload balance, and more efficient use of time. The insights Float provides also help me make more informed decisions, which has ultimately led to more successful project outcomes. Before Float, comparing planned work with actual time spent on tasks was challenging, leading to inaccurate project estimates and budget overruns. With Float’s integrated time tracking, I can easily monitor how actual work aligns with our plans, helping us improve our project estimates and stay on budget.
It is a complete platform that brings and encourages transparency of the team and its demands.

What do you dislike about the product?
Many times, when entering activities and then logging, the system freezes and I lose some steps that I had already taken/filled in. Unfortunately, this ends up happening several times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The day-to-day perspective of those who work remotely. It helps to understand the individual performance of each person and predict any kind of drop in performance or even a dismissal.

I can keep daily time without creating new line items for each day. The end of month does not require additional work. The interface is intuitive once an overview is provided.

At the moment, there is nothing to dislike about the product. It's easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
Float can help you manage your time logs in multiple projects in different color shades, it is very fantastic to show your time logs in different colors.
What do you dislike about the product?
When we generate report of the time log project-wise, it is showing total logged hours and scheduled hours, it didn't show if it was billable or not, I think two extra column can show billable hours of the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is very useful for time logging in multiple projects, you can easily identify on which projects you have worked on in a single day with different color logs. you can also filter out project-wise time logs.

What do you like best about the product?
I use it in 4 ways, project tracking, project work-load of employees, and their work titles, and copier billing for projects that were not coded correctly.
What do you dislike about the product?
They changed how to add and archive our projects. I get a little confused when having to do both tasks sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When someone needs help on their projects we look at float to see who has the capacity, and shows how busy the Co is each week.
