Great Analytics and Team Overview, Needs Smoother Entry Change Workflow

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
There is a good overview of all team members and projects with useful filters and color codes. I especially like the analysis functions with evaluation of what percentage of time is billable. As a consulting agency, this is a useful KPI for predicting revenue.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would be happy if there was a workflow for changes of entries included, that the project manager can approve, because communicating necessary adjustments to our responsible administrators is bothering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
See what team members have availability for a new project, see who is over-planned and needs support

Simplified Project Management with Room for Reporting Improvement

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I find Float incredibly easy to use after the initial setup phase, which was a bit challenging initially. Once past that, it became very straightforward to handle. I appreciate how Float has made project tracking much simpler for my team compared to our previous tool. It was difficult to track every project in our previous app, but with Float, it is easier for us to track each project individually. The timeline adjustment feature is particularly useful, allowing me to slide left and right to adjust the timeline of a project. This feature makes it much easier to manage project timelines efficiently. Additionally, I find exporting Excel sheets from Float to amend with our internal system very helpful. This capability makes it a seamless part of our workflow. Overall, my positive experience with Float is reflected in my willingness to purchase it again for our company and the high likelihood that I would recommend it to others, giving it a nine out of ten.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the setup process for Float initially challenging, particularly compared to the interface I was previously used to. It's frustrating to not fully understand the project reporting in Float, especially regarding working hours versus overtime. This makes it difficult to discern whether overtime is included in the schedule, which I find quite frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Float makes project tracking easier for my team, allowing us to track each project individually without mess. It's also user-friendly once set up, and I appreciate the ease of adjusting project timelines.

Effortless Scheduling and Clarity, But Needs Better Integrations and Reporting

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s really easy to use and makes it simple to see who’s working on what. I like how clear the schedule looks and how quick it is to move things around. It helps a lot with planning and keeping everyone on the same page.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it feels a bit limited when trying to connect it with other tools or go into more detail on projects. I wish there were more options for reporting and filtering tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float helps me keep track of everyone’s workload and plan projects without confusion.

Float - From a Daily User's Perspective

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We use float on a daily basis at work to create a daily agenda for each member of the team. It is very handy having pre-set different job types that can all be colour coded. I also like the notes section being hidden until you click in so that it is presented neatly. I also like that you can create a custom schedule dashboard that i can filter with certain peoples calendar's so that it isn't cluttered
What do you dislike about the product?
It don't like the layout when you are working over your hours for that day. I understand that it is done like that to show that you are working over your time but it doesn't look nice and promotes cramming jobs in even though they might take longer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It gives us a centralised hub to create agendas that we are all familiar with at work, where different members of the team can add things to your calendar quickly and easily. It is also very good for seeing a large volume of different people's agendas while still being able to filter it to make it easy on the eye.

Easy to Use with Helpful Colour Coding and Cost Calculation

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It easy to use and the colour coding and ability to input fees and calculate costs of work done is really helpful. The data produced is also difficult.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how on the schedule 15 minutes would we 0.25 hours but on the log it would be 00:15. It makes it difficult to flick between the two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me to keep track of the hours I'm spending on a job and look at exisiting jobs and hours spent on them. This is useful when providing fees for new jobs.

Effortless Task Planning, But Needs Better Scheduling for Groups

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's really easy to use in adding tasks and planning out your day, week month & year
What do you dislike about the product?
You don't have the ability to find times that work for everyone involved when adding in a task that's got a time allocated to it. It was save so much time if you were shown the options that work for everyone
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Organising a team of 10+ people

Clean, Intuitive UI and Fast Onboarding Make This a Standout Choice

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is clean and intuitive. The speed at which you can both get up and running and onboard new users is also great. Feels like the right features have been added in the right places. We use Float every day to manage the scheduling of circa 50 delivery consultants. We have it integrated with Slack too.
What do you dislike about the product?
None that I can think of. Always been impressed that it does what we need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Float to manage the resource schedule for circa 50 innovation and design consultants. Historically we had used Excel spreadsheets but outgrew these and they always worked well until calculation formulas broke. The clean user interface and views within Float allow us to see, at a glance, a view of the different people and teams workloads. Also like how easy it is to manage and make updates to the schedules.

Easy Scheduling and Transparency, But Limited Editing Access

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to navigate and manage my schedule. I also appreciate being able to see who has added events to my calendar and when.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's frustrating that certain work boxes can only be edited by the person who originally added them, and no one else has the ability to make changes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me clearly understand how much time and budget I have available for specific projects.

Clean, Minimalist UI but Task Allocation Needs Improvement

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Very clean UI and colour/minimalist design. It is easy to understand scheduels at a glance
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding allocated projects/tasks to Float can be made more intuitive, such as the number of hours. Adding a new project initially is not very intuitive
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking into the future to see what projects I am assigned to, and for how long so I can prepare my time management
