A quick and easy way to manage my day.
What do you like best about the product?
It gives an overall view of ones day giving operation mangers the access to issue and schedule jobs with ease.
What do you dislike about the product?
that it doesn't do ones time sheets. this is a delay on company productivity and should have a feature that does this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can now move meeting schedules with ease and share timings with clients and the team.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Get a operations manager to handle your float so you can keep floating into meetings and make returns on the company spend.
Great for managing many projects and resource planning
What do you like best about the product?
The UX/UI is intuitive and clean, it makes working in it easy. Being able to drag and drop is great and having info on each card is helpful too.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've only been using Float for less than 6 months so I don't have a major dislike for anything as of now.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use float to help manage our project resourcing and allocation. Float helps us to easily visualize who is currently working on what projects, and if we will be out of bandwidth in the future.

Float is a great tool to schedule work and view allocated hours for contractors or employees
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to easily view all my schedules work and allocated hours at a glance
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love a custom view to see just my work, as opposed to viewing all my team's calendar
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a contractor, I would like to know my upcoming projects. With Float, my manager can schedule work as soon as possible and I get to see it immediately. This way, I am kept informed which helps me to plan ahead.
Intuitive and infinitely helpful software, let down by occasional performance issues and with room
What do you like best about the product?
Float is an incredibly intuitive piece of software to use, with a simple calendar-like interface that everyone can understand. I have found that this aspect of the software is helpful in promoting its adoption within our teams. The experience is consistent across the product, which has allowed me to discover more and more features in and enrich the experience of using the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
The performance of the software is occasionally a bit lacklustre. For example, I often find myself accidentally clicking somewhere on the screen which prompts a dialogue box to open to enter a new task. This problem is especially pronounced when using a trackpad, and isn’t something that I experience elsewhere. Additionally, the interface seems to have a strange way of ‘splitting’ tasks that occur across multiple days. I have found that it often leaves blank gaps that give the illusion that a team member is working more hours per day than they actually are.
There are a few features that I would like to see when going forward. Firstly, I think it would be good if there were different options when ‘resizing’ a task. Currently, the task can be resized independently across both axes (i.e. how many hours per day, and across how many days). I think it would be good if there were an option for these to affect each other – i.e. the total number of hours allocated to the project remains the same and could be allocated fewer hours across more days, or more hours across fewer days.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My experience so far with Float has been one of trying to make it reflect reality, and encourage adoption within our organisation. I think the real advantage of using it will be one project managers are widely aware of its benefits, and proactively use it to resource projects and keep abreast of changes in the availability of our team.
Resource planning in big picture
What do you like best about the product?
How easy it is. To book resource or edit time range you only need a few clicks or drag and drop.
What do you dislike about the product?
It will be nice to get notifications about not booked time of some resource and small tool for moving all booked resources for a given project in time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is great tool that helps us in three ways:
1. Planning resources in the near future - thanks to this we can easily know what specialist and when will have free time for some short maintenance or start new project.
2. Planning time off office days
3. Get statistics about how much time was spend in which project in wide perspective and quickly check who and when was working on what milestone off the project for client reports.

Clean and easy
What do you like best about the product?
Simple and clean overview of resource planning. Easy to adjust and play with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems a bit slow when including lots of resources. Once detailed analyses is needed (e.g. budget allocation on subparts of projects) it seems to be limited.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easier overview of resource planning

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to review your teams work load and you are able to drag/drop assignments to other teammates, as needed. I love that you can use any HEX color codes for clients/projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Often it will split tasks that I don't want split. Also, I wish there was an easier way to assign multiple team members to one assignment/task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This helps us know what projects need to be shifted to what employees and also helps us recognize when we may be close to workload capacity.
