Simple software doing it's job well

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The single mindedness of the software. No unnecessary features which over complicate it. Just schedule management, pure and simple. Helps share with everyone what they are scheduled to do and also share that with the wider team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Tricky to do smaller chunks of time and setting up new clients or pitch work was fiddly. Could be much more seamless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ensuring everyone is clear on what they are doing now and in the near future. But also making accounts teams aware of workflow so that they do not sell time to the client which we do not have.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It does one job well. Don't expect any more as that's not the point.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to adjust when you have a planning that changes a lot.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that i had to pay is completely understandable, but for a bigger team this also sums up, a bit too much for mee.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overview in planning, keeping track of changing planning.

Intuitive dashboard yet not fully grown

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Clean interface and handy search bar to select users. The Slack integration is also something that looks promising and I'll try soon.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of an android application makes this an application primarily focused on iPhone users. This is a bit more troublesome in our company as there's a mixed device landscape.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Better then the alternatives used till date.

I'm using Float via Browser as an employee in an advertising agency. It's very clearly, well structured and has some useful features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of it's functionalities are a little bit hard to find, for example the different view options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Altogether Float is a very convenient Tool with good overviews and functionalities. In the company I'm working for, Float is used as a Human Ressource Management and Job Overview Tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Very user friendly, easy to migrate my team it using it, helpful when trying to juggle multiple resources, rolled-up data very informative for pipeline planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is purely a resource management tool and not a complete end-to-end project management solution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are now seeing a pipeline of resource needs across our business, we are able to dig into the detail by team or individual. We are able to improve our general utilisation across teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Compare this product with an end to end project management solution.

About float

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good overall view, it's meant to have an oversight of everyone's time schedule in the agency, and it works.
What do you dislike about the product?
The page doesn't always refresh by itself. So if someone is editing the schedules while you're looking at it, you risk consulting an obsolete version if you don't click refresh by yourself.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our creatives had way too much work for different projects, we had no view on what they where asked to do during the day. So now we are having a meeting once a week to organize and prioritize things, and we're quickly aware if someone has an overload of work, so we can do something about it.

Extremely helpful software, has changed how we work

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to simply, and easily see what every single member of the team is allocated to throughout a large period of time. Giving the ability for that employee to see what they need to be focussing their attention on that day.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the application be slow to respond, and it can be frustrating if you're trying to skip far ahead of time to complete some planning.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We always struggled with members of the team understanding what they should be working on as we've grown. This has helped considerably by giving each member their own access to see their own responsibilities.
It's freed up time of some of the management completely, as it's done in one place and everyone has that for reference.

The chaos is now under control :)

A great team management tool

  • January 17, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Great tool for managing resources in a team. Allows you to quickly and easily see what other people are working on, filtering by teams, projects or specific team members. I'm not a project manager so probably don't use all of the features on offer e.g. reporting, but as a team member it's a useful way of being able to visualise my workload and see what's coming up, as well as being able to see other people's workload.
What do you dislike about the product?
Disappointed that the 'My Schedule' feature is no longer available as this was an easy way to view just my own schedule rather than the whole business and having to filter by my name.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provides an overview of workload and resourcing capacity, helps to plan team member's time and schedule projects effectively, provides an overview of billable utilisation across the business.

Simple and effective

What do you like best about the product?
Float makes it simple for me to view all my team members' availability and check who is working on which projects from one location. The interface is intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Integration with other systems could be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float keeps everyone on the same page when it comes to resource scheduling. With the ability to view all our team members' availability in one place at a glance, it helps avoid scheduling conflicts - and also helps project managers see where we have extra capacity.
