Float review
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to add new projects, tasks and to view a report of any/all project in a matter of just a few clicks, mostly due to its intuitive UI/UX design it is also pretty neat that I can sync my google calendar events
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there is a visible delay when adding/deleting tasks, other than that I have no issue using Float, hopefully, there will be a self-hosted version in the future
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allow me to keep track of who is involved in my projects and how much budgeted time I have left for all my projects, it reduces the effort to keep track of multiple excel files we used to have before using float

the ease of use this platform. Sometimes it doesnt need to be any feature, just simple as float make schedule perfect

I like to see the feature of seeing other staf schedule. Because human brain is full of curiousity

The benefit of using float is we can see what time the deadline meet
Good simple project tracker
What do you like best about the product?
I like the clean UI, the ease of use and the simplicity of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like more options and controls. I can only view a week at a time and only my calendar (this might be due to my organization's settings).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Just a simple project tracker to keep our calendars aligned.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's great for a simple, easy to use no-frills tracker. I'm also assuming its a lot cheaper than some of the alternatives out there.

What do you like best about the product?
UI is simple and nice - I enjoy the ease of use and drag and drop of tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
After normal corporate hours ability to add tasks it looks a little clunky and could use to be tidied up as sometimes projects may take some time to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Problems are listed above such as the after regular hours ability to add tasks it looks messy - benefits is too see a streamlined interface of where each user/colleague is working on.
Easy Employee Management
What do you like best about the product?
The software provides an easy overview of all employee's day-to-day activities across the business for all locations.
This becomes especially important as our business has on-shore and off-shore resources with teams that need to work collaboratively and at capacity.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some aspects of the software can be clunky. Despite being given access, it required a refresh on my user permissions before it worked as expected.
Simple additions like the ability to duplicate/copy events created would make it more efficient.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall I quite like Float. Integration with Google has made it very easy to login which is a major plus compared to some competitors in this space. The simplistic nature and search as well as addition of new records make it quick and easy to use
Easy to Use Software
What do you like best about the product?
Very simple and easy to manage the design team's time and see what we have coming up

The only downfall is trying to manage freelancers, as they have little bits and pieces of time

Float has made it much easier for the delivery team to request and manage our design resourcing

What do you like best about the product?
- The short cuts
- Ability to easily flag when someone is over utilized vs under utilized
- Being able to book in days off/ non-working days

What do you dislike about the product?
No ability to create task dependencies which makes it very time consuming to push out linked tasks when delays occur in timelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving resourcing conflicts through this tool. Being able to accurately forecast staffing needs over coming months has been a major benefit for staffing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely one of the best resourcing tools I have used across several agencies in the last 10 years. My previous agency used Float and I am pleased that my new agency also uses this tool. Highly recommend!
Clear and Concise
What do you like best about the product?
Float is really clear and simple, making it easy for me to see what I need to be working on, and divide my time accordingly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I haven't used Float for very long, but haven't found anything I don't like so far.

Float provides a more streamlined way for our company to set up weekly schedules and project allocations.

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful thing about Float is the website layout which is because its so simple. It's effective because it's easy to see and find out the schedule information quickly without wasting time clicking around.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am yet to find something I dislike about Float except that sometimes it logs me out regularly without needing to, meaning I have to log back in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As my team work across loads of different briefs and jobs, Float makes it so easy for me to see who is working on what and where everyone will be each day.

If you have a big team this is perfect to organise everyone effectively
Great tool for collaborative PMO
What do you like best about the product?
This tool is a great way for the resource to be allocated and for the Project Management team to do forecasting for projects. It allow us to dispatch task and make sure the resources know what they need to work on.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is only few things that are not great with Float. It is, for exemple, difficult to plan tasks without ressources assigned to it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This allow us to have visibility and make forecasting for hiring and signing new mandates.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a great tool if you're sharing a pool of resources with multiple managers (project team, team lead, consulting etc.) it allow you to have visibility on the resources workload and decide who should work on certain new projects based on their time available.
