Effortless Scheduling and Clear Layout Make Float a Winner
What do you like best about the product?
Float makes it really easy to see what projects I’m booked on and what’s coming up. The layout is clear, and I like that I can check my schedule at a glance without digging through emails or spreadsheets. The email notifications are really handy too, especially when plans change last minute.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the email notifications can come through a bit delayed, and it’d be nice if there was a mobile app notification option instead of just email. Other than that, it does exactly what I need it to.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float makes scheduling and workload management much clearer. It solves the issue of not always knowing what projects I’m on or when they’re happening. It also helps me fill in my timesheets more accurately, since I can easily see what I worked on each day. The email updates are great for keeping track of last-minute changes too, so I can plan my time better and avoid clashes between jobs. Overall, it’s made communication around scheduling much smoother.
Intuitive and Easy to Learn, But Occasionally Inaccurate
What do you like best about the product?
Its quite intuitive, clear and easy to grasp when starting to learn it
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it gives false information (e.g. on the "report" page, regarding project's data) which gets corrected after refreshing the page
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can see everybody's availability which is super useful. It tells me how much budget is left on the project which is important for me to know
Effortless Setup and Intuitive Use from Day One
What do you like best about the product?
It’s extremely easy to use, with no need for lengthy onboarding, anyone in the organization can start using it from day one. The platform is also very fast, and making changes feels intuitive.
What do you dislike about the product?
We found time logging to be a little bit lacking in terms of functionalities, and hard to connect to existing organization timesheet system and requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's used to quickly allocate incoming projects to team members, you can at a glance see where there is space for new tasks, and who is overloaded. We also use it to track days off, and overall team workload.

What do you like best about the product?
Scheduling, Project Allocation and ease of time charging
What do you dislike about the product?
Limit on amount of data returned on API calls.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allocation is easy and reporting along with cost management is very good and help in reporting.
Effortless Scheduling and Clear Team Visibility
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very user-friendly, making it simple to view everyone's schedule in the schedule view. I can check every day what me and my colleagues work on.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally, I do not make use of the project plan feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For me, it is helping me improve how I organize myself and manage my relationship with my colleague.

Reporting can be improved slightly for a better visualisation of the effort by someone working in multiple accounts.

User-Friendly but Can Get a Bit Messy
What do you like best about the product?
easy to use, easy to navigate, the notes feature is very useful and can be descriptive
What do you dislike about the product?
can feel a bit messy, and can be overwhelming with a lot of people on the page, so there should be more filters and who works in the department or what teams are viewable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
organising the team better and having clearer communication within the team

multiple views of the projects and teams, easy to change the data and visual reports

the project view is not very intuitive, and somehow I have to review the project plan and ther person by person to really make sure i'm not forgetting anything

I can easily see how is working on what and who has capacity to take on more work
Float Makes Planning Easy, But Project Access Could Be Smoother
What do you like best about the product?
Float has revolutionised the way we work in terms of forward planning and capacity planning. It's been great. We can see ahead and pivot if needs be. It was really easy to set up and use, the whole team are using it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to request access to a project if you're not already added to it rather than having to message that team member separately. Having that little feature would save time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float solved our forward planning issues. Previously we used Monday and it was difficult to see what projects were coming up and move them if needs be. Float gives us a view of the days/weeks/months ahead and allows us to plan time in effectively. Each Monday we sit down and look at the week ahead and it's so simple to move things around. I especially love the fact that we can assign a budget to a project/task and monitor that as the work progresses.
Great for Scheduling, But Navigation Needs Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to see my company's staffing and easily update my schedule each day
What do you dislike about the product?
I find some of the navigation a bit tricky (e.g., as I scroll through the team, the page will jump and oftentimes I don't land on the actual day I need to fill out). I also think the scheduled vs. logged views are sometimes confusing to figure out the budgeting (especially because I don't have access to the budget). I also don't like the emails every time someone updates a project

It is easier for me to log my hours and see approximately how much time I am spending over the week on a project
