Float is easy to set up and allows to kick-off your resource planning very fast

- no Android app (iOS is available from some time now)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Float for traffic management in a software house. It helped to visualize the process tremendously and is very easy to use which helps with productivity.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use simple resource and people planning.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would be great if allowed for timestamps so calendar integration wasn't just all day events.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Capacity planning, distributed across a global company. Has helped solve actual availability and planning vs a spreadsheet.
An easy to use, clear scheduling tool
What do you like best about the product?
It's a modern UI for scheduling. Team members are clearly displayed and it gives us visibility we clumsily tried to achieve via Google Sheets in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
Horizontal scrolling via a mouse with a vertical only scroll wheel can be awkward. There are buttons on the bottom to move left and right.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Transparency with team movements and schedules.

I feel the app could be easier to view. I find it hard to see what I'm doing on mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to see at a glance who has time to fix up last minute jobs.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Would recommend reviewing the mobile app so that it's easier to see your day, or an option to see everyones days.
Lifesaver! Great tool for scheduling across multiple teams and offices
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using float for almost a year now. It has made SUCH a difference in allowing our teams to be able to track where and when individuals are working from home/out of office/on holiday on a simple and unified platform. The tool is also incredibly user-friendly and makes it easy for anyone to be able to use it on a day to day basis. I also love how quickly you can add and edit to your projects in your calendar.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major comes to mind about the tool that I dislike particularly. With that said, some potential improvements could include:
- Allowing you to drag and drop to copy a schedule from one person to another, instead of just relocating it
- A way to see notes on a project by just hovering over the icon rather than clicking on it
- Having additional colors to color code the calendar would also be helpful - we have 15+ people using the platform at a time and it would be useful to be able to have more colors to help organize people's calendars
- The relocation of tasks can also sometimes be a bit tricky

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is a huge time saver for me - allows me to easily access calendars of large groups of people without having to view each person's calendar individually. Float also helps keep everyone across both of our offices more organized.

I'd absolutely recommend people to try the product for themselves! You don't realize what you're missing until you've tried it for yourself.

The mobile app slowed down when using the search feature.

not much to dislike, works like a charm.
it would be better if it could also provide a way for the team members to update the deviations in allocation.
This would help the project co-ordinator to gauge delays early on.

we use float to render our resourcing schedules. This helps us broadcast resource availability and manage traffic for multiple projects. with the ease of use that float brings, it gets really easy to fig out information from the data.

We use this for scheduling our teams for all of the employees to be able to track and schedule.

At the moment I have not been able to come up with any issues that may cause a problem.
