Good for visibility
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and it's simple to scroll backwards to check your historical or upcoming bookings. As a user it does all I need it to do.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've previously used Synergist which was great for production resources as all the bookings automatically pre-populated timesheets ready to add hours and submit. I'm not sure if Float has this functionality but our organisation uses separate systems for both, and I find it does add a little more effort to time logging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Booking across different teams, visibility of upcoming workflow and identifying and managing potential bottlenecks.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the user interface, and the way it allows me to look up everyone's schedule. Makes it really easy to be able to schedule projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. It allows me to do everything I need. No complaints.

We mainly use it for project management and managing people's schedules.

What do you like best about the product?
Float gives us a unified interface to manage Tasks and resources. I like the clean design and minimal UI of the application.
What do you dislike about the product?
On some screens, we get more options than needed. I think the product is good but can be improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allows us all to collaborate with the team in real-time. It provides us a way to plan resources and people. It makes life easy for all of us.
Great value and easy to use!
What do you like best about the product?
Float is a lovely way to keep tracks of daily and weekly tasks. It is minimal and polished with just the right features needed. I have found it to be a great way for the team to track what everybody is working on and keep track of how much time has been allocated to each task.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it would be more beneficial to be able to integrate this software with our timesheet tool. Sometimes refreshing the page can cause some information to get lost. Other than these points I think Float isn't lacking in functionality and has been beneficial for the team.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float has been super beneficial in helping to manage who is working on which tasks during the day. It has helped me to structure my day effectively and I enjoy that each task can be moved and switched around with ease. Super helpful during morning meetings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Float to anyone/ project manager wanting to use a planning software that is effective and easy to use.

What do you like best about the product?
it's super easy to view our studios schedule and see what projects myself and team members will be working on. It allows us to easily coordinate on projects and show our clients our availability to book in future work. It also allows us to overview the hours we have worked for each client and easily bill them for our time.
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be quite clunky to reorganise projects and can sometimes be confusing to understand the reports section as there is a lot of information to process on the one page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float allows us to easily track our work load instead of referring to and from different email chains and allows all our clients and colleagues to have one space where we can view what needs to be done and have a live preview of commitments running through the studio so anyone can check and it will be up to date instead of having to ask around.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a worthwhile investment if you and your team need an easy space to all view commitments week by week and is an easy to use tool for businesses instead of calenders which allows you to collate your schedules and show clients your availability.

What do you like best about the product?
Float has really robust, one or two button press financial reports - you can get a really accurate report per project, per quarter or per annum to allow really good profit and loss figures that are accurate to the hour.
It is very good in the way it allows quick blockouts of time for the planning of things like feature development and also details and notes within individual tasks.
The most important factor is browser based, one stop shop of visibility for all team to allow best possible visibility for inter discipline dependencies. Outsource schedules can be added too. It's really simple to mark individual team members as users or admins to allow the right people access to the schedule and get visibility wide across the team.
I like the clean layout and the simple interface. It allows easy implementation of placeholder and actual holiday and sickness/annual leave.
It is very quick and easy to use with a clean UI, simple to set up projects with unique colours which can be really useful when looking at a schedule with multiple projects on the go concurrently. As mentioned the browser based nature is important and allows to have a tab open and quickly switch between other work and checking the schedule or answering questions regarding work marked up in float. Obviously having the information stored cloud based is also secure against server failures.
I have enjoyed using the product overall and think it has contributed to increased productivity for the team.

It's not possible to band box select multiple tasks, you have to shift select them. It's a small usability niggle only. The rest is very good.

What do you like best about the product?
The simplicity of the platform, it's so easy to drag, drop and view all of the company's assigned tasks as a very quick glance. The ability to be able to switch to project view (vs just people) is great too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Early on when we started with the platform some of the usability was cumbersome & slow. However, it's changed a lot since, and is a very smooth platform now.
I think one of the things I'd like most is the ability to add notes alongside milestones so that we can put notes in about what that milestone includes.
