Really like using Float
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to use and has many usefull features.
What do you dislike about the product?
A feature that tallies the hours per week would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use it in stead of filling out timesheets so it reduces time and paperwork.
Great scheduling module, easy to use, highly recommend it!

Easy to use, minimal amount of clicks to achieve what is required.
What do you dislike about the product?
Big block descriptions, but can easily be changed by changing the settings. Would like to personally change the colour on my personal view.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Defaulting fields for activity tasks. Which can be very helpful for timesheets that are to be submitted at our organisation.

It's helped formalize resourcing at my agency and helped stakeholders get a better snapshot of what's going on, what's bogging people down and what's coming up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of ability to create a dashboard(s) - like one that shows all team members in one place based on account or project without having to click around as much.
Don't like how hours are shown for each team member over several days (would prefer if it showed how much time is allotted per day as well as total time - think this would just make it easier to view).

Resourcing! We needed things more formalized and needed better synergy between offices (especially because resources are now being shared across offices). It's beneficial to actually see hours in order to understand bandwidth

Try it out - could streamline resourcing!
Nice interface and useful tools, but needs some adjustments to streamline usage
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to track people's available time and percentage utilization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the input methods are confusing or counter-intuitive. For instance, when creating new tasks, the duration often changes based on other inputs (hrs per day, # of days, etc). This makes it too easy to make mistakes. Also, I would like to be able to see reports and the weekly schedule in the same window simultaneously, so that I don't need to flip back and forth between tabs. Both are useful tools, but the extra step of switching while not being able to see the other form of info makes a complicated task even more complicated.

Resource management, tracking utilization and task efficiency
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to set the report period to the current week (every time you use it) otherwise it will not automatically keep up over time.

Ability to manage workload and float between tasks for a large group of people.

it takes a while to change color for tasks.

It helps our organization to assign tasks to staff and see their availability over a future period of time.

The ease of adding project hours across multiple days/weeks makes organizing work really simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
That sometimes you can be booked too many hours in a day - when working multiple projects with multiple PM's. I'm not sure if PM's get a warning but a red box saying 'Hey, maybe this person doesn't want to work 16 hours' might be helpful.

A clear and concise way to view when and for how long I am working on something
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Float will no doubt help you to organize multiple people across multiple projects. Speaking as a basic user, it will no doubt make your organization of personal work more efficient.
I've used Float for about 6 months and its the best
What do you like best about the product?
Tracking jobs? Check. Seeing team load by account? Double Check. Seeing if a colleage has got time to help you with a non-work realted favour? Mutha-flippin Check all over that.

No biggie but my one complaint is that you need to refesh it to see changes as it's web based - I've missed things in the past.

Timesheets have gone from big pain to big easy. I can see a particular cross section of jobs specific to me

The cursor can turn into completion or deletion mode without warning, creating half days tasks is annoying

It's an easy way to keep track of employees, it acts symbiotically with JIRA
