Best in its class
What do you like best about the product?
Float is very useful for resource allocation management as it allows for an awesome timeline views with all the resources listed. Float also allows for pretty good filtering and different ways to view your data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing I can think of is I would like the Slack integration to be more consistent as some days it works and other days it doesn't.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Float allows me to know in which projects I will be working and for how much time each day.

Float is one of the platforms with more technology at your disposal to generate planning and project management because with its extensive technology system has a very innovative system that is responsible for functions such as resource scheduling, project management, and other collaborative tools that facilitate teamwork, also has an interface based on the drag and drop function with a different design that is characterized with this program as it is aimed at those responsible for planning resources within the company establishing and distributing working hours to maintain a constant monitoring of the projects to be executed
What do you dislike about the product?
Float is also a difficult tool to handle and one of the things that I dislike is that it does not have a training prior to hiring the service to take the appropriate precautions and abordad an adequate customization to the company, just as they should improve functions such as the remote access function that presents a slight deficiency in its execution
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is our main tool for solving problems related to the planning, management, collaboration and monitoring of technology projects because its features have helped us solve the problem we had with the management of multiple simultaneous projects, as it has managed to completely eradicate the problem we had with respect to resource management, since with functions such as workload scheduling for each employee and its visualization as well as capacity management and activity tracking have been the promoters of success in the operation of the company optimizing the workflow to offer a better service to our customers
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If a company lacks a project management tool with an advanced technological system and greater accuracy for success, I fully recommend Float as it is nourished by multiple functions that adapt to any company achieving important advances at the enterprise level

What do you like best about the product?
Great product and good way of reporting. It allows you to identify issues early. It is a perfect tool for tracking activities.

So far, I have not find something that I dislike about Float.

I truly recommend FLOAT to other users.
Time logging and project allocation combined!
What do you like best about the product?
This software is great. I can see my time reporting and project allocation in the same place. Our previous way of doing this was using two systems which was not efficent.
What do you dislike about the product?
I cant easily log time on tasks that have not been allocated. I have to manually enter the task and time for each day, rather than simply being able to copy or drag across the relevant days.

Easy time reporting and project planning rolled into one system

What do you like best about the product?
The interface is clear and pleasant. I like the ability to track the tasks that are assigned to me and at the same time have an overview of all the projects assigned to each resource.
I find the log function very useful to record daily the actual tasks and duration.

It would be useful to have the ability to manage the projects according to the teams and track projects status.

Individual project planning improved thanks to Float.
Great for Planning Individual's schedule, not so for managing a team
What do you like best about the product?
What I like most is the intuitive interface to plan your schedule. The schedule page is also good if you want to have quick glance at the team's schedule for a time period. I also like the ability to add the country holidays and export data to Excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
The reporting is a bit limited. There's no built-in report to view which people have available hours, which haven't updated Float, or which people are consistently booking short hours or overtime. As an administrator, these reports are critical for managing a team. Also, the settings are a bit "hidden". For example, the setting to add holidays is not so obvious within the settings page and I have to talk to support in order to get this done. That should be obvious since this is a planning tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a consulting firm, we have to plan ahead our engagements in order to see bottlenecks in resourcing and control our costs. So far, we have realized this, but with the help of additional reporting in Excel.

occasionally doesn't let me delete projects from my day

I found it very easy to set-up my projects and add my developers and project roles to manage and report their allocation

I have not found a useful integration into other project management tools like Jira

Managing and allocating resources on a weekly/monthly/quarterly review has been really helpful.

Intuitive and easy to use!!
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to have little computer knowledge and still navigate the program ease! Great program to use to keep everything organized.
What do you dislike about the product?
We were not able to integrate our existing data into Float, however it was very simple to re create it in no time.

Using Float we have been able to track and plan our time more efficiently.

Very easy to use and takes away the head aches of using multiple programs to accomplish one goal.
