Float Review
What do you like best about the product?
I like the interface of Float, it's easy on the eye and can plan ahead of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the arrow button deletes accidentally maybe have a way to control this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to manage several projects at the same time, automating it with the API and also managing several stakeholders at the same time.
Easy to schedule big digital remote teams
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface, flexibility to use different types of hours. Easy to schedule vacation time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not very friendly in defining templates to be used quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing and scheduling compex teams
Float makes Time management easy
What do you like best about the product?
A perfect mix of Team, Project, and Individual view of time management enables deep analysis. This helps me get a view on utilisation for professional services which is critical to understanding revenue and profitability.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally it does take a while to populate the records for the staff that I manage... but then again its a big complement of people. After a while the browser will show all the relevant data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without Float it would take too long to get a view on utilisation of capacity - and this has a direct impact on our ability to manage profitability. More importantly, Float helps us ensure that we keep staff engaged and don't forget them on the bench.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sophistication is when a simple interface hides the complexity underneath the surface. Float is great.
Float is very intuitive and has user-friendly interface.
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to manage the time of your employees. it has very useful charts where you can see the overview of the time and resources. Easily can manage your resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing much that I dislike. But I would say that the old design was much better. It was easier to track the time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Float is depicting your time schedule very clearly and is easier to plan your time based on that. I can say I am more productive using float, as it is easy to access and track your time.
Platform offers great overview for planning and time tracking, not really suited for project manage.
What do you like best about the product?
The main interface is clear and offers a great overview. Planning time on projects and tasks is intuitive and easy. Tracking your time along those tasks also works great. We were looking for a tool that did some high level planning and tracking, not track-per-minute. Float has been great to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Project planning is a bit harder in float. Planning different phases offer less overview. We also really love the time tracking tool, but it is not available separately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to plan and track our time on projects. Float does both of these. It helps us to identity how long we are working on tasks, we bill clients through the hours we track and we know how much recourses are left in a project.
A great team overview
What do you like best about the product?
Great for planning out a week or two, worth of work, for a small team.
What do you dislike about the product?
No single member view, this would be ideal for a web developer who can create a waterfall view of their work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's allowing the entire team to view what each other is working on.

that I am able to search project and a person in the same tab and check their availability.

If I log time I can unlog it. This makes my life hard.

company's management is on the next level because of float's ability to display and organize data

Not much that I can think of. I haven't run into some striking issues.

What do you like best about the product?
I really like how easy it is to use, that's the main thing! I have never used it before but within 15 minutes I'd managed to schedule all my projects. I also like the budget tracking element - I have quite a complicated project with a less than 2% tolerance with the budget and Float has been invaluable helping me track that.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it's quite hard to export the data which we need for our invoicing - I end up exporting it in Excel and then having to copy and paste. I would love it if there was some sort of invoicing feature in float so we could generate them at source!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helping me monitor the profitability of my projects, it's ensuring our people are not overloaded or not having enough to do - which ensures we can maintain a sustainable velocity across the organisation which is really powerful.
Great app
What do you like best about the product?
Float helps us visually plan out our week
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, the keyboard commands can be a bit clunky but the app does what it needs to!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us plan projects and employee leave in 1 UI, which makes long term planning much easier.

If you need a tool that lets you easily map our your projects and employee time, Float is the one.
