The solution's most valuable feature is the Dockerfile, which makes the life of developers easy. Developers get a real understanding of container creation.

I have encountered network issues while connecting with microservices. I want to optimize the application layers over the bucket. It should also have better documentation.

What do you like best about the product?
Docker allows engineers to deploy software faster and safer. Docker is a platform that allows engineers to convert existing legacy software into containers. This cuts costs on deployments as well as simplifies support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Docker containers must be built locally unless funding is set aside to use the Docker only registry. This only applies to custom containers and builds. This used to be a free service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Docker solves the problems of complex software prerequisites and challenges deploying to multiple systems. Docker allows different systems to run the same software in the exact same configurations.
A scalable solution that is useful for developing and testing applications
What is our primary use case?
When we are developing an application, we try various libraries. It is better to isolate one application from the other because if they install one library and then it doesn't work on the other end or while using a driver, then it doesn't work on the other driver. There is always this conflict that is bothering us, and that is where Docker separates containers to build applications.
What is most valuable?
Docker is a useful tool that we just implement and use directly.
What needs improvement?
It is a perfect solution for me stability-wise. Owing to a few shortcomings in its stability, I would say that its stability can be improved. It is important to note that I am not an expert to speak about what needs improvement.
In the future releases of Docker, we should be able to isolate a couple of applications. It should also be possible to isolate an environment.

I have been using Docker for one or two years.

We have used the virtual machine named VMware previously. We switched to Docker because VMware was very clumsy when we tried to build a lot of virtual machines using it. VMware is best suitable as a business solution.
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup of the complete environment is complex, but Docker is easy to set up.
If you want to set up a complete environment, it will take a week, depending on the applications.
We don't do the deployment since we only look into the PoC phase. The company we work with does the deployment, and then they worry about the environment, infrastructure, and other things.

We do the deployment by ourselves because we need to test or develop some applications and do the PoC phase.

Docker is perfect for what I do, though it is really limited as a tool.

I think the best feature is to replicate anything in our local machine using a simple command.

The product does not have an extensive documentation. The tool does not have good scenarios. We have to go through the GitHub repository and investigate similar scenarios. Also, if you are copying multiple things, then you can jeopardize the copy number. The copying aspect also lacks a UI part. We also need to limit the memory.

It works well even not having a UI, just used the Portainer and could manage it better in that way, and it's easy to install

The UI interface could be a good improvement, and it's hard to understand at the beggining, but it's normal

I had to work with several development environments and the docker allows that in a pratical way
Simple and Straightforward Container Platform for Ubuntu
What do you like best about the product?
Docker can be easily set up on Ubuntu 20.04 via their official guide. Docker Compose is also integrated, making it simple to compose your container images. It also allows uploading the composed image to the Docker Hub cloud repository.
What do you dislike about the product?
The images and artifacts that are compiled are not cleared automatically and begin hogging up storage space on the system soon. It can be manually pruned, but an option to automate it at a specific frequency would be appreciated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Docker on Ubuntu 20 provides a platform for containers to run which makes it easier to ensure that your applications are portable and can be deployed on various systems that can run docker, without worrying about the underlying components and OS configuration.
