Great Product have used them for years
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, I can cross train my fellow admins easily. The web console is intuitive for even the novice network admin. Easy to update and easy to deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing can be a pain when you go through and RMA. That said the RMA process itself was painless.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An easy to use interface for allowing remote VPN by individuals and protection that has been solid.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find a good partner if you are an end user and they will get you exactly what you need. For the prices it only makes sense to just get the full protection they offer.

Problème de DMZ, nous avons dû séparer le trafic interne et externe en utilisant des VLANs.

Vitesse et praticité, je recommande ce pare-feu.
It is a very efficient solution in your price range
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use and very effective, it has many reports for evaluation, this allows to quickly implement the security policies, additionally the use of the end point provides a detailed vision of the possible threats that could be in the network.
What do you dislike about the product?
In general, it is a tool that I really like, perhaps its limitations are due to being immersed in the world of SMEs and not focused on large solutions, I would like it to be a solution that could be implemented in larger companies, as a central point of my security policies and not only in small or medium-sized companies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was able to change and implement the company's policies very quickly and the maintenance time was much better, the great benefit, the efficiency in the management of the operation, its ease of use allowed me to dedicate my time to other activities, additionally they have support constant to clients based on education and constant evolution of the system, even doing the updates was something very simple, within 15 minutes I already had a new update installed and in production
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Being a focused company, SMEs offers an advantage in relation to price value, in addition to having the reports included and their integration with active directory without the need for additional equipment or software.
Works well, needs some improvement
We have been using the XG Firewall in AWS since April 2020 and found the Firewall was easy to deploy and works well. The Web Content filter works very well. We did use Heartbeat but the Firewall started blocking a server even though the Sophos Server agent reported ok. I reinstalled the agent and this resolved the issue. We also have this issue with on-premise Firewalls so this could be a issue with the XG overall and/or the Sophos Agent. Heartbeat is a great feature but Sophos needs to perfect false positives. I would have rated 5 stars if I was able to use Heartbeat.

En presque deux ans, aucun incident majeur sur notre réseau. Installez sans souci et oubliez. Tant que vous maintenez les mises à jour du firmware, l'installation standard fait un excellent travail.

Il n'y a pas grand-chose que je n'aime pas à propos de Sophos XG 125.
Quels sont les problèmes que the product résout, et en quoi cela vous est-il bénéfique?
Zéro incidents, c'est le principal avantage. Pouvoir gérer de manière centralisée depuis Sophos Central est un bon atout, au lieu de devoir se connecter à 5 pare-feux.

Produit bien soutenu et facile à utiliser pour les administrateurs réseau débutants et experts. Le niveau de support est excellent.

What do you like best about the product?
Quick initial setup, integration with anti-virus makes management easy, easily scales with us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Major updates sometimes cause the XG to stop working properly, but automatic backups have made it easy to recover if anything goes wrong.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When taking over IT, everything was in shambles. There was no anti-virus, no firewall, and every system needed to be upgraded. I needed a secure solution that could be setup fast and could easily be managed during the transition period, but then scalable as old systems were replaced. Sophos XG was quick to setup, made security centrally managed because it integrated with Sophos anti-virus, and has easily scaled as we upgraded and replaced every system we had and then started adding new systems as the company has grown.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend getting Sophos anti-virus with central management. It will make the experience much better.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ease of setup and ease of use that comes with Sophos XG Firewalls. From setting up business rules, Access Points, and Remote Ethernet Devices they all offer an ease of use that is unmatched by a competitor.
Also I love the Phishing emails. I have the ability to schedule Mock attacks on email users. If they click the link the email sends them to training. If not, they have the option to forward it. I make a contest out of this every month of users. I also like that Sophos seems to be transparent when things are awry.
Setting up new networks and Access Points are a breeze! Also Remote Ethernet Devices enable our multi-site facility to communicate with security and speed. I was able to get a new site up and running in not time last month with a new RED15.
I also have the ability to run many reports for our senior management. Reports that enable them to see what I do and break it down for them to understand how important the firewall is to our organization. This enables me to better serve our organization.

There are some items on my wish list for the XG firewalls.
I would like the ability to reboot an AP that is having issues. Also to reboot Remote Ethernet Devices if needed.
Some other issues are training or learning new things about the firewall. Some of the training is behind paywalls the last time I looked. I would love for there to be more training for us.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Since COVID hit we needed the ability to work from home. Sophos XG Firewall offers a SSL VPN with our subscription. I was able to set that up to enable users to work remotely. They were able to get to the data they needed and most importantly the data was secure!
I also have the ability to block websites and apps as I see fit. Or i can block categories.
I setup a network at a new site in a matter of moments with the XG firewall and a Remote Ethernet Device. This was a simple setup and give me the ability to push all traffic through our main site with the REDs. We also have the ability to monitor traffic at remote sites.

Setup is a breeze. The rules are easy to setup for the firewall and setting up exteranl sites and users are easy to setup as well.

J'ai travaillé sur de nombreux pare-feu et j'ai normalement des plaintes : je ne peux pas en trouver une pour Sophos...

Pare-feu de réseau d'entreprise pour bureau, gestion des points d'accès sans fil et communication avec le logiciel de point de terminaison.
Sophos XG Firewall - une bonne option économique, mais vous en avez pour votre argent.

La série Sophos XG a une excellente interface utilisateur qui est facile à naviguer et à utiliser. J'aime particulièrement la page du pare-feu, dans laquelle elle utilise une interface utilisateur simple, mais conserve les informations essentielles (d'autres pare-feux que j'ai vus utilisent des menus plutôt qu'une interface utilisateur simple).
Que n’aimez-vous pas à propos de the product?
L'onglet de diagnostic est particulièrement difficile à utiliser. Les graphiques du système ont l'air très bien, mais n'élaborent pas beaucoup, sans entrer dans les journaux eux-mêmes. Ce serait bien que tout cela soit intégré.

Il semble y avoir beaucoup de mises à jour de firmware, ce qui peut prendre beaucoup de temps.
