Price-/performance ratio in the mid market business sector
What do you like best about the product?
The firewall products are eay to use, can easy implemented, can be central managed and have next generation features
What do you dislike about the product?
No feature for MDNS at this moment. For example there are problems in the windows printer search function (windows server 2022)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sophos Next-Gen Firewall in our head office and all of our branch offices to secure the networks. Additionally we sell Sophos firewalls to our BMS customers to secure their networks.

Interface, ease of use and easy to make rules.
What do you dislike about the product?
In fact, there isn't much we don't like about it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Security, keeping logs, establishing inter-company network connections, isolating ourselves from the outside world, network management via DHCP module....
provides all the required feature capabilities which are required to secure my environment

The firewall's clear user interface makes it easy for us to adopt changes in our network and application infrastructure.

What do you dislike about the product?
Comparatively many spam messages get through the built-in mail gateway's spam filter.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have to separate medical infrastructure from the client and server infrastructure. Sophos Firewall lets us manage these requirements without much effort.

What do you like best about the product?
The boot times and also the connection times for S2S VPN tunnels are significantly shorter than with the previous manufacturer.
What do you dislike about the product?
Config backups cannot be restored on a previous firmware version. Sometimes the icons in the menu for the rules are not displayed.

The Sophos firewalls are very attractively priced compared to the competition.

What do you like best about the product?
Sophos is easy to implement and integrate, offering simple scalability and efficient management of options, along with an optimal balance between cost and benefit. Additionally, its active monitoring through Sophos Central facilitates precise and real-time risk analysis through an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. Thanks to its proactive detection and advanced ransomware prevention, this tool offers agile and highly reliable protection to safeguard sensitive information. The technical support is of excellent quality, with high availability and a team of specialists with solid knowledge of the tool. The interaction between the client and the provider is agile, efficient, and free of inconveniences, ensuring a smooth and satisfactory experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. The presentation of LiveLog could have a better presentation, however, it is functional.
2. The backward compatibility with Sophos UTM, a use case we have had with another institution that has not yet updated to Sophos XGS, so the update to the latest firmware has not been successfully carried out.

The zero-day exploit threat control, powered by deep learning technology, allows for the containment of unknown attacks and ensures security and peace of mind against emerging cyber threats. Web filtering offers exceptional efficiency, guaranteeing safe browsing by protecting against malicious sites. Additionally, it allows for content restriction through precise category control, adapting to security needs.
Very fast learning curve, effective partner support, some trouble with end of life products.

What do you dislike about the product?
We had some problems with end of life products and APX Devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos allows us to mantain business continuity easily and to have control on external branches
Sophos Firewall - simple, good, and secure
What do you like best about the product?
Simple handling, good security standard. Integration as a replacement for an existing firewall is well executed.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my perspective, there are no major disadvantages. The firewall does everything it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too complex firewall structure so far => With Sophos, the structure becomes clear, transparent, and streamlined. Costs dramatically reduced.
Super firewall with decent user friendliness
What do you like best about the product?
The firewall is great to operate. An incredible number of features, the best of which is probably the WAF. This also led the decision away from the competition. Additionally, the AD integration and VPN with 2FA are excellent!
What do you dislike about the product?
No compulsion but still a very strong urge to the cloud. Automatic (scheduled) updates, for example, are only possible via the cloud. Reporting functions on the device itself leave much to be desired. Sometimes delivery times are far too long.

So far, only once had issues with storage space - but the support was quite quick to respond.
