Easy and efficient firewall for businesses
What do you like best about the product?
The best part is the centralization of all firewalls in a single web console, they are easy to use and implement in the company, it has support in Spanish, they allow you to automatically save the backup in the cloud, it has synchronization with the Sophos endpoint.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only bad thing is that outside of working hours, support is only in English.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had the problem of having many firewalls from another manufacturer and we didn't have control in a single centralized console, with Sophos this problem is solved.

What do you like best about the product?
Apart from already having Sophos products, which makes synchronization between products even easier, scalability and thanks to Sophos Central, the Firewalls can be monitored in a more agile and comfortable way. Sophos Firewall has good scalability and is easy to implement in any environment, the support helped us with this in a very professional and friendly manner. In addition to a wide variety of features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mainly, the cost is the most negative aspect since this product will not be accessible for small environments. In this case, the configuration is somewhat more complex than other products they have. Lastly, in a high-load environment, some configurations that are made can affect performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, we had old firewalls that could no longer handle the network traffic we had. Thanks to Sophos Firewall, the majority of the problems we had with this have been solved. After searching the market, we chose Sophos again as the best option since we also had the Endpoint and could have everything centralized.

Comprehensive Next Gen capabilities in the Firewall with centralized Cloud Management and synchronized security functionality of all Sophos Solutions is the highlight of the product which gives hollistic view and coverage from the security front.

All the fake emails with malware attached.

What do you like best about the product?
The Sophos Firewall has very granular filtering capabilities and once we got to grips with it this allowed us to configure access for all of the wide and varied device and user types we have and taylor connectivity to their specific needs. As part of the purchase we had setup and implentation support from trained Sophos proffesionals which was invaluable.
The firewall has been far more reliable than our previous provider (we moved from Smoothwall) which is essential for a product that is in use constantly and it also integrates well with our Sophos Endpoint software.
We use the dashboard frequently as it provides a great overview of security with a threat quotient for our user base and the advanced security features highlight and block any malicious traffic such as access to botnets.
Updates are regular and the Firewall has continued to support the latest standards and protocols evailable for web access (such as TLS 1.3, Google QUIC and various VPN protocols).
As most web traffic is now encrypted the ability to decrypt and inspect as much traffic as possible was an essential feature that the Sophos Firewall range caters for too.

What do you dislike about the product?
Initially our needs were sized incorrectly and the model of Firewall didn't cope with our needs (this was rectified by Sophos) - which was a bit of a pain.
Also the builtin report functionality is not the easiest to configure/use and there are no instant alert features. As we work in a school we see instant alerts particularly as a safeguarding essential so had to purchase FastVue which integrates nicely with the Sophos Firewall logs and has improved reporting features.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Sophos Firewall provides a great level of security for our users and keeps our devices and data secure. It also provides VPN access allowing our users to continue working remotely (in a secure way). As we use Sophos Intecept X Advanced on our endpoints and integrate with Sophos Central the Firewall is also able to work in tandem with these platforms to improve end to end security.

I can control unwanted Internet traffic which in term increases the productivity of employees. Also this product is very best in providing the Cyber Security at Gateway level.
