Sophos Firewall - simple, good, and secure
What do you like best about the product?
Simple handling, good security standard. Integration as a replacement for an existing firewall is well executed.
What do you dislike about the product?
From my perspective, there are no major disadvantages. The firewall does everything it should.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Too complex firewall structure so far => With Sophos, the structure becomes clear, transparent, and streamlined. Costs dramatically reduced.
Super firewall with decent user friendliness
What do you like best about the product?
The firewall is very easy to operate. An incredible number of features, the best of which is probably the WAF. This also led the decision away from the competition. Additionally, the AD integration and VPN with 2FA are great!
What do you dislike about the product?
No compulsion but a very strong urge towards the cloud. Automatic (scheduled) updates, for example, are only possible via the cloud. Reporting functions on the device itself leave much to be desired. Sometimes delivery times are far too long.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
So far, only once had issues with storage space - but the support was quite quick to respond.
The product and the features they offer are worth.
What do you like best about the product?
The products are more user-friendly, and troubleshooting is much easier due to the advanced features they offer.
What do you dislike about the product?
The product hardware stability and consistency are less.

Sophos offers many updated features which helps in solving the unexpected attacks and threats.

The best part of Sophos Firewall is its synchronized security with Sophos endpoints, which provides real-time threat intelligence and automated response. The user interface is also intuitive, making policy management and monitoring straightforward

The reporting and logging capabilities are limited out of the box, requiring external tools or add-ons for deeper insights.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall is helping us secure our network perimeter, manage application traffic, and detect threats in real time through its integration with endpoint protection.

Product is well designed and works very well

The quotation process especially if Deal Reg is denied, it can be a challenge.

It is working as router, VLAN configurations, load balancer, security provision, easy authentication to WiFi and user management
Excellent support and great price point
What do you like best about the product?
The support offered is great and Sophos Central is easy to use. The hardware is easy to implement and replicate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sophos Central could be improved and bugs in firewall firmware could be tested more thoroughly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sophos Firewall keeps the networks at our clinics running smooth and provides tools to manage remotely well.
Excellent security and user-friendly management with the Sophos XGS Firewall
What do you like best about the product?
I like the combination of strong security and easy management the best.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the user interface is overall user-friendly, the initial configuration can be somewhat complex for less experienced administrators, especially with extensive networks and specific security requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A major problem that the Sophos Firewall solves is protection against advanced threats such as ransomware, malware, and DDoS attacks.

Solid firewall with good support
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use on day-to-day business and excellent support when needed from both Sophos as our partner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not always easy te spot why some traffic is blocked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure traffic between internal VLAN's and also WAN traffic on multiple levels
Overall Support was exceptional and software updates were most relevant to our technical requirement

It's simple to use and implement, affordable and technically capable.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apart from firewall and Threat management, Sophos does not have strong offering for other related products. Central Management is slow to use.
