Easy to learn and use
What do you like best about the product?
I like using GitLab because it is more on the professional side rather than any other alike platform. And it is organization oriented it helps in continuous integration on the project level.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not very happy with the console as it contains very limited options there, we can only add the compressed file via using the console which restricts merge and test.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps me in staying updated with the slightest alteration performed on the project and I don't need to take up the whole code and then run it on my machine in order to check whether it is working well or not.

Quite comfortable when using Gitlab CICD to manage code version and release
What do you like best about the product?
i'd say very impressive with Gitlab CICD
What do you dislike about the product?
i have to click several times to access a feature
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allow to manage source version control, enable my code to be tested via a quite flexible CICD pipeline, and the ability to check the report if any tests failed.
Another best choice for continuous deployment after jenkins
What do you like best about the product?
We currently shifted to gitlab for our CI CD activities to achieve our continuous deployment goal, although there are many features which are better then the jenkins but for me the UI makes a bigger diffrence.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing much to dislike but there are some lag observed while deploying the code to the production.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using GitLab for continuous integration and continuous deployment of changes to the production environment.
GIT LAB BEST FOR CI/CD
What do you like best about the product?
Mostly for ci/cd porpose I have used git lab. It also supports docker which is a biggest advantages.
What do you dislike about the product?
For CI/CD it provides a Linux system where as azure provides a windows machine which for me a bit diffect to understand the Linux compired to windows.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GIT LAB provides a storag repo which helps us to store our code for every new release secondly to run the automation tests cases it helps a lot because it provides a Linux machine where we can run out test cases any time.
A dependable source control repository.
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to integrate with tool like QAS, QMetry, QTM4J to push souce code to Git Lab.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really nothing as such. All the features I need, I find in Git Lab.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
QAS, QMetry, QTM4J are the 3 tools we use that integeate with Gitlab. We easily write our BDD code and automation code in these tools and push/pull the code in to Gitlab repo.

Not as such.

What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using gitlab for the past 3 years and apart from repo management and CI-CD, I havent used any other feature.
CI-CD could be more customised and easy just like Jenkins.
CI-CD could be more customised and easy just like Jenkins.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Source control manager where I can keep my source code and share across teams.
Code Repository with great pipeline capabilities
What do you like best about the product?
Besides the common functionality of managing code in a repository, the pipeline capabilities are outstanding. They offer an integrated experience of building the applications directly within the tool. The definition is based on docker images which give you great flexibility in what you can do. Besides storing the definition as a file in the code,it is event possible to share pipeline-steps between projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
The planning capabilities of having tasks and epics are not sufficient for larger teams or project setups, where you have several small and independent repositories. Also, it was not really intuitive for us to map the scrum process to the provided issue planning components.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab helps to provide a common (and also onPrem) git-based code repository with a lot of additional features. Especially the functionality of MergerRequests with dedicated code reviews and approvals helps to increase the code quality. Providing pipeline capabilities along with all kinds of registries for storing artefacts provides a complete solution for managing, deploying and delivering code. The flexibility in pipelines made it easy to integrate with other tools, e.g. with Mend.

Review - Gitlab
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab is the tool we use in our team for continuous delivery. The gitlab also helps us to conduct code reviews for merge request and issues. It is also easy to track down the issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
In gitlab the CI/CD pipelines can be improved for better comparison. Integration with other tools is a bit complex process. The documentation can be improved. The document repository would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab has very good security. Couple of groups can work collectively and construct study software. The code development by our team member can be pulled in our system in a few seconds.
