What needs improvement?
GitLab could consider introducing a code-scanning tool. Purchasing such tools from external markets can incur charges, which might not be favorable. Integrating these features into GitLab would streamline the pipeline and make it more convenient for users.

I haven't encountered any bugs in GitLab.

In our company, I estimate that around 30 people use GitLab, primarily for branching and repository management.

Our organization decided to use GitLab because it's easy to use, and its user interface is more intuitive than other tools.

I would recommend using GitLab. It provides a repository and API, allowing you to create deployment pipelines. I rate it a ten out of ten.

GIT repository is widely used for version control. Handling PR is too easy. Tracking history is so convenient. Cherry picking also possible with easy way.

Large files showing in PR is some time not easy to look for review

Protecting the main branch so everything can be reviewed in PR. CICD integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab's UI is just so much more chill and easy to get around. You jump in and everything's right where you expect it to be. The CI/CD setup in GitLab – it's straight-up awesome. You don't have to mess around with a bunch of tools; it's all baked in and works like a charm!

The documentation could use a glow-up. It's there, but digging through it to find exactly what you need is a bit of a headache.

It's a great alternative to GitHub. We use GitLab for version control and managing all devs.

gitlab features like branching and merging is a good one. it reduce the complexity of the program and can avoid the conficts between the developers. And we can build pipelines in git and automates. we can go the previous commits so any error occurs we can hava a backup so the code never be stole.

E GitLab's user interface has evolved over time, i still feel that some features of it are less user-friendly than those of rival version control systems.
