Very Good
What do you like best about the product?
it is very easy to connect with any editor, in my case i use VS Code editor to connect with GIT
What do you dislike about the product?
Not any, but history of the source code change can be downloadable functionality is missing

Best Open-Source Version Control and DevOps Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The UI is simple and clean. It is fast and has pretty much all the features. It lets you create branches, push your code into your branch, get it merged, delete your branch, create tags, etc. All the things can be done via git bash (command-line tool).
It also has CICD pipeline using which makes the build process easy and fast. Running particular tasks to either test or deploy your application becomes easy.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike about Gitlab. Have been using it for a while and no complaints so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab makes it easy for the team to work on a single project and get things done fast. It also has CICD pipeline which makes deployments easy. It can also be connected to JIRA.
A very useful (open source) platform
What do you like best about the product?
The fact that we can deploy it very easily on our servers. Manage everything without having to send our code to a random location and have all the GIT features we want.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike. Maybe the fact that we have to run a SAAS-based account to get all the features on the gitlab.com website. We would pay to have them working locally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our documentation and source code is hosted on Gitlab and it's working flawlessly. Since it's Ruby On Rails, we can use and deploy instances easily. We appreciate the user interface and all the features.

Even if it is self-hosted you cannot assign more than 1 person to a specific task. There are tasks that need collaboration

Having an unlimited number of users and depending only on the host storage resulted to be cheaper

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is the best version control option for private and organizations. It offers amazing features like the access control levels which some of its competitors do not have. Collaboration/sharing code is super easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up and using GitLab is slightly more time consuming than its competitors, the UI can definitely be improved to cater to more novice/new users. Ci/CD runners are another one of those areas, where GitLab can definitely improve

GitLab is just the perfect solution when your needs involve, custom access rights and more personalized collaboration. Maintaining code is a breeze, and its no wonder that organizations would prefer GitLab over its competitors for the unique features that only GitLab provides

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is one of the best collaboration tools for developers. One can easily manage and merge the code in just a few simple steps. It is secure, fast, and reliable and can help multiple developers to work together.

There is nothing much that I dislike. But I feel this is the best tool as compared to others in the market. This is one of the most reliable tools according to me.

What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab is best tool for version control. I like the feature of fetch the changes and also it easy to maintain code and see the ui for branch strategy . I am so use to this tool that I always look for this tool. Loved it .
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing dislike from this but as a missing feature .I feel that it should give us a comparison ui as well .it is having very basic once which can be improved.

Code changes among all team . We can use this to share and manage code along with version and security .I can not imagine development without this helpfult tool
My Development experience with GitLab
What do you like best about the product?
It is an open-source software project and has free version limited options. If a developer at a beginner or a self programmer free plan also helps a lot to make the development environment perfect.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you are working with a team or a large company free plan does not enough, need to go with a paid plan. GitLab paid too expensive comparing some other services. Sometimes if you go with a premium plan its features might not be enough for you to handle your project requirements.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our startup company needed a VCS and DevOps platform to work collaboratively with team members. When comparing other available services we selected GitLab, because its free version also provides perfect features.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We have been using GitLab for 5 years now. So far it provided the best quality services. So my experience I recommended if you want Devops and VCS software GitLab is the best option. You can use it freely without any cost with limited features. But if you want you can go with a premium version with all the features.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful feature I found while using GitLab is how easy it is for an organization to manage its multiple projects in one place. Project managers can create a new repository for a new project and add the members as per the need.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are not many things that I can list as my dislikings when talking about GitLab, but since I have to mention here, I'd go with the need for a better UI.
What I'm talking about here is how we have a feature to change the UI themes, but not many great options to choose from. I mean changing just the color is too old stuff now, there should be more options available for complete UI.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The number one problem it solves is taking all the pain out of code sharing and version control systems. All the members of the projects can make different changes in the codebase and then proceed to merge their versions into the main code, exactly how it's supposed to be done, and this tool makes this work effortless.
