User friendly and good privacy
What do you like best about the product?
Specially GitLab helps to allocate your own space for your organization. Give appropriate security features to secure your information inside your organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing is high compared to other git applications. But it will not be an issue with their performance which they are providing to the customers. Other than that, everything is good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab helped me store source codes inside a reachable public space, and they provide facilities for version control of the application. Spacially, when sharing applications to the general security is a must need, and GitLab is the best place for it.
GitLap is a handy tool for version control to automate deployments.
What do you like best about the product?
I am a big fan of GitLab mainly because of its CICD feature, which makes the software development process much more manageable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no major drawback I have encountered so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with version control. And also reduces conflicts that can be occurred when working as a team. Its built-in CICD tool helps with the software development process. No need to use additional tools for continued deployment.
Collaborate and maintain the code at one place remotely
What do you like best about the product?
The simple process of creating a remote repository, cloning process, and committing and pushing the code into the created repository and allowing the user to add the reviewers to review the committed code, create the feature branches and later merge the code from the feature to the master branch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need improvements on the calendar module, which is displayed on the dashboard that indicates the intensity of commits made on a particular day.Not user-friendly for the freelance projects to host on the private repository for free as compared with other version control systems like bitbucket,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gitlab is mainly used to commit our test automation scripts into the central repository developed by the users, review the code and add any review comments and merge the code into the master branch and clone the existing projects to the local machine

What do you like best about the product?
UI is awesome. Updates with git. You can search and add multiple commits and can view multiple branches on gitlab. Best platform for enterprises.

No downsided of gitlab. Everything is perfect

Version control system is best and it solves that problem

Gitlab provides good UI and lot of features to maintain your project and that too free
What do you like best about the product?
Gitlab is a free VCS platform and it provides a lot of analytics related to the code activity it is quite easier to set up CI/CD pipelines compared to other VCS platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
Gitlab would've been more popular if they could provide the option to make your project open source, it would be good if we could see other open source projects, I think they should include this option, apart from this I think they are doing good.

What do you like best about the product?
Merge request review view is best. Also CI/CD backup
What do you dislike about the product?
Wiki section from my point of view is not required or used very less.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing good view for merge requests which helps Dev's to analysis the issue & provide feedbacks
Best project management and DevOps Tool
What do you like best about the product?
The features which I like the most are: Version controlling, CICD pipelines, Review code and Managing projects. GitLab is very reliable, secure and easy to use. GitLab also integrates with software for CI/CD pipelines which helps in the Automation test cycle as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple file editing through the UI is not straightforward. Also, it is very challenging to manage the conflicts when we have multiple merge requests from the development team for multiple separate branches to the main branch. This slows down the work cycle a bit (sometimes).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Introducing the tool to any developer is easy as we have very good documentation. Hence the onboarding process is much easier now. Code versioning and managing the repository is much better than our previous tool.
Quick and easy way to work on code
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of sharing code with my colleagues is amazing! I just need to create a simple mr and all my team can check out my code. That way they can do a quick code review,
What do you dislike about the product?
The merge request view can be pretty messy at timers. I would love it if gitlab would give you an option to squash commits from its UI. It can be a chore when Im doing it from terminal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Code is easy to share and very easy to review thanks to the view that lets you leave comments. Connecting gitlab to jira lets me understand tasks better, as Im always few click away from task requirements
