Interesting topic and well organized site
What do you like best about the product?
Step by step introduction of the concept and technique was mad it really easy to understand. This is really good for beginners. If it has more hands on examples to try, then I think it would be really good for the people who just started for this.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the progress of each session was not correctly displayed on your web. Because of this I sometimes had to re-run one session. I would also like to see more applications and usage of the tool. The explanation was
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I see many opportunities and will think about further what can get real benefit from this. The similar concept has been used for the software validation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good to review the sessions to understand the technology. Especially Automation Anywhere University is the best place to start with for beginners.
Jack of all trades, master of none
What do you like best about the product?
A unified platform. Allows automation on top of GUI in "user space". Ability to run in "supervised mode" (IE log into and view the bot while it is performing a task) is very useful for debugging purposes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automation anywhere is an IDE that likes to pretend it's not an IDE. A drag and drop interface without the ability to type commands, view the entirety of the parameters of a command, or to format the layout of the code, makes every development experience into a wrestling match. The software is riddled with issues- v.10.3 felt more like a beta than an actual software release (actual messagebox typos still present!). Modern version control and collaboration is not currently possible. There's a lot of "solved" problems in the software development world that are simply absent here (examples are too numerous to count, but include things like inconsistent GUI behavior, no "find and replace", "find" is superficial and text based, fixed size text windows/forms with no scroll, changes do not track changes in variables, hidden commands/corrupted files are possible, etc.). Currently using v11, which purports to have fixed a large amount of problems, so I will reserve judgement there, however my experience with v 10.3 to 10.7 and AA support has made me skeptical.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating over legacy software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Avoid if possible.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it can be easy to start a solution to a problem/task.
What do you dislike about the product?
Variable management is a nightmare. Collaboration is not easy. There are a lot of bugs and the only solution we ever get from AA support is either workarounds or to upgrade to the next version. The bots run slow and often our problems are much better solved using a .net solution instead of the tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated a good amount of processes and reduced manual labor by a pretty good amount.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Know that it you will spend about half of your time trying to get the tool to work as designed as opposed to actually solving business problems unless your processes are extremely simple.
Automation Anywhere. Easy user Errors
What do you like best about the product?
I think the best thing about it is that it is easy to implement logic into each task as well as follow the "flow". UI is not too bad. But it can be better to suit a developer. I think AA's crowd that they are selling to is more so Business people who do not deal with the software itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
The worst thing about it is that there are many unknown bugs. One other nightmare is refactoring, if a variable is changed within the variable manager the variables still remain in the task, so a user would have to search for the renamed variable and rename each one used in the task. Another issue is sometimes object cloning does not want to work properly (based on application). Developer has to think of multiple ways to select values on a screen since AA selects the wrong object. I think AA's pitch is that they can have a business person implement a simple automation when they should be selling towards developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automating repetitive business processes. Benefit that it does everything at a much quicker rate.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Automation anywhere is easy to use. Functions need to be thoroughly tested by QA. Too many bugs get past QA. One bug that was present in an older version was logging into control room, Username could be "root" and was able to log in with admin rights,
Awsome Tool!
What do you like best about the product?
I like both the AA Client and AA Control Room , the best thing what I like in this tool is Version Control and we can even use SVN if required and the best part of Version 11 LTS is we can host this tool on Hybrid Clou Environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Whats the reason for having folder structure like Automation Anywhere\Automation Anywhere file in Documents folder.
2. Operation Room doesn't show up the tasks that are running.
3. Cannot export the dependencies of Meta bot that was holded by x task bot.

What do you like best about the product?
AA has good functionalities that helps us to navigate through websites and excels.
What do you dislike about the product?
The font and coding like drag and drop lines are not friendly for eyes, pleas consider color coding, indentation, and adding more filters to help navigate through the codes. On the other hand, please make sure support line personnels are familiar with recent upgrades of the software, I have had experiences where they didn't know how to solve issues or not knowing the interfaces changed in newer software versions, which costed me additional time to get an answer to solve my issues.
