Easy to User Gateway to RPA
What do you like best about the product?
Easy accessibility - the application is intuitive, but its function is underpinned by excellent documentation, but also comprehensive e-learning with AA University.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Control Room API should allow the passing or parameters. We have got around this by using work queues, but I feel being able to pass parameters would have been a great value add. Better native handling of JSON would have also been useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Integration of separate applications from a single source of truth application. The main application kicks of a bot which propagates the data down through the interfaces of the other applications, removing the need for an API to be developed or implemented.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Build out a simple use case to begin with, and get this into production. The ROI realised on this helps to promote the use of RPA on other use cases. AA provide a lot of helpful tools to calculate RPA and how to select good use cases.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and the variety of functionality to complete automation development quickly and efficiently. The Metabot and it's ability to consume external class library (.dll) is probably the feature that has allowed us to create scalable ad reusable automations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like to extend the debugging functionality to allow you to "step into" nested scripts that are called and raise exceptions into the AA error handling pipeline. This may not be such an issue with basic automations, but once you move to an enterprise architecture, we have a more structured approach for designing a bot, which involves splitting out functionality into separate tasks and components, which makes debugging more difficult
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have automated a range of business problems from automating web applications, Oracle retail management java apps, Sharepoint 365 and main frame systems. AA allows us to automate tasks, which otherwise would not be possible, be too costly or would not be high enough priority for a full IT solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The ease use of AA means even business users can quickly get to grips with the technology and start developing automations quickly. I would recommend taking a look at the community edition to review how the product works.

Best in class RPA software
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Automation Anywhere is that it is easy to use, but full featured enough that you are not left unable to create more complex automation solutions. Getting a basic automation up and running with the Smart Recorder and easy to use drag and drop command interface is as easy as the click of a mouse and can be accomplished in minutes. From there it is not long before you have an entire business process fully automated with full error correction and redundancy, and the web based control room makes going from development to production a snap. From simple commands like keystrokes and mouse moves, to SOAP, REST and the ability to leverage application APIs makes Automation Anywhere one the best choices for RPA software.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the editor had some more features for advanced users, like keyboard shortcuts. Also a dark theme for the editor would be fantastic as looking into a bright white screen for hours each day can definitely be straining on the eyes. Luckily, these are both secondary to the primary function of the software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a process which took hundreds of people in the company approximately 5 minutes to complete, twice a day. We automated this process on the back end for each of these operators, saving the operators time for more important tasks. We've also talked the huge problems with manual report generation for our billing department. One of our first bots has generated millions and millions of PDF based reports over the last couple of years that are required for our invoicing functions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Choose the right processes to automate. Not every business process should be handled with RPA and it is not a magic bullet. Start small and fail fast, but scale quickly. With AA you can do that.

Great customer service and the product is mature and secure.

Some instability occasionally with bot runs but V11 is way more stable than previous versions.

Optimizing our rail car fleet and working through financial information.

Quickly start building with web recorders, screen recorders and add additional tweaking to the captured screens.
Debug mode is one of the best features, it helps trace down the issue.

Option to skip schedules instead of accumulating, currently if a schedule is unable to run it is put into queue.
Changing authentication mode requires reinstallation, there is no option to migrate existing installation from sql authentication to saml or ad authentication without reinstalling..

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are automating several manual processes that takes several hours each week by multiple teams. More and more use cases are being generated everyday for automation.

What do you dislike about the product?
I still did not find anything. I'm still using only RPA and IQBot and they are easy to use and reliable.

IT use cases reducing SLA.

Easy to use interface, you don't need to be a developer to understand and use the application, very user friendly. Incredible amount of opportunities for automation.

Nothing! I've found the application very beneficial and easy to use.

Repetitive and "boring" tasks are being automated, allowing us to have our agents to work on more challenging tasks.
