Automation Anywhere can take manual processes out of daily routines
What do you like best about the product?
Automation Anywhere has simple to complex bots to meet your needs. From a non-IT background, I can create simple bots that will help eliminate unnecessary work and free up time for more important tasks or projects. A great tool for process improvements!
What do you dislike about the product?
More complex bots will need a IT team to handle which could slow down creation, testing and use. Also means a dedicated team has to be assembled to support business needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are taking many manual forms and converting them to Bots. Benefits are ease of use, standardization, removal of human error in keypunching information. Data integrity improvement.
Automation Anywhere - Amazing and Excellent RPA Tool in the market.
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Automation Anywhere tool from past 2 years. I have also tested other tools in market but I can say automation anywhere is the best among them. The user interface is simple and easy to use, even though you don't have any past experience you can learn how to use this product and make full use of it's potential within a week. Automation Anywhere has it's own online University from where you can find hundreds of tutorials in multiple languages which provides details on how installation and how to use different commands in Automation Anywhere tool. If you have any roadblocks or questions during installation or while using the product you have AA peoples community, where you can raise your queries and other expert users of the product will answer your queries. It provides both Attended and Unattended mode of automation. It has more than 500+ commands using which you can automate almost every windows and desktop applications. You can complete the development of automating your process in short time since it is developer friendly tool, hence it will definitely increase the productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have much dislikes in this product. In version 11.3 and previous version you can create limited types of variables like value, array and list. There should have been different data types like, Integer, String, Date, Boolean and data table etc. But we can see all these datatypes in the latest release A2019. Also, when you loop through a list variable, it automatically get reinitialized when it enters another loop inside the current loop, this is the only minor bug which I have noticed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Automation Anywhere you can automate basic tasks such as data entry and very complex tasks like invoice processing, automation on SAP, complex excel operations etc. The benefit is it will save lot of time and human efforts, reduces the human errors in the process, which will finally increase the productivity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Automation Anywhere for automating your business processes. Even though it is a simple task like data entry or complex tasks which involves interaction with multiple softwares, this product will do the magic. Great Support and highly productive tool.

What do you like best about the product?
Clear interface, clever commands and a excellent tutorial page. The number of videos and materials are truly excellent. The web interface are very ease to use, and also the number of updates and support make AA a tool who explain itself.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some delays and speed issues lanching bots.
I've some problems with the PDF to TXT conversor, after converting an adobe file of a bill to a text, I need to iterate over the txt and attaching every line of it (and the various items detailed) and AA don't have dynamic variables o something like that to solve my issue. In other hand, i've the IQ bots but the process seems too mechanic for this solution.
Also, i have some very slow lauching of some bots. Sometimes, the execution of one bot of 30+ lines takes a lot in the "processing" stage.
Please, keep in mind some tool for exporting the flow view in png or jpg format, is very clever but it's reaaly a nightmare when i need to show it to my coworkers.

We automate the billing entry in SAP, accesing to the bills received in a mail account and later, make some signature validation and converting that bills in a csv file and entering it to SAP.
We also use AA to automate the process of entering the details of the taxes charged by tax agency of our country (AFIP, here in Argentina) in a massive way.

In our country, Argentina, AA offers a fast support and tutorials and video in our languague. This make AA the best in the automation sector.

What do you like best about the product?
Scalability and resiliency of the Bots. I also enjoyed the training experience from AutomationUniversity. The lecturers were very well defined and structured.
If I have to write the best thing which I liked in AA then it's the logging part. It's really easy to make logs and also the analytics part.

What do you dislike about the product?
Licensing structure. I don't know why standalone licenses are not available. Why do I need to purchase AA control room license even if I am going for attended bot runner license. Team AA should try to work on structuring the licensing thing.

1. The price is something which can be worked on as well because I feel the licence cost is a little high.
2. Error handing- there we are facing a little bit glitch while creating multiple tasks for the same project.
3. Need to improve on Mainframe Applications & MS office Features. Efficacy against Visual Basic Application Codes (MS Excel), web scrapping in Visual basic macros is near to or exceed efficiency against RPA (bots), Terminal Emulator IBM I Series.
4. The java forms interaction is a bit painful and slower if compared with API/ web automation.
5. I didn't found integration with office O365. Might they release is in next addition.
6. They need can improve UI in terms of developer standpoint, for example, variable manager section is the major pain area in the tool as it doesn't allow multiple variables to either be deleted or copied and pasted in the different bot at the same. What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use is undoubtedly the best feature of Automation Anywhere. Despite not having an interface as friendly as its UiPath competitor, Automation Anywhere still has a very low learning curve for beginners and intermediaries on the platform. It is possible to do almost any type of automation just using the tool's features, from sending an email to reading multiple PDF files. The tool also has an active community in the forums, where it is possible to find metabots to perform a little more elaborate actions where it would be more complicated to do just with the available features. The courses offered by the platform itself solidify the learning base of those who are starting to use the platform or in the RPA itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Speaking for me, the biggest negative point I find in the tool is the automation in the office package, specifically Excel. In the rival, Excel automation is extremely efficient and can be done with the program in the background, in Automation Anywhere, I find automation a little slower and cannot be done in the background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I worked with Automation Anywhere, I was able to develop a solution for a large Brazilian telecommunications company. The developed solution made the automated control of the peripheral equipment stock, sending an e-mail to the management whenever a collaborator needed equipment.

Automation Anywhere, as a market leader, is great for anyone looking to get started in RPA. Most companies look for professionals trained in Automation Anywhere. If your company has a partnership with the platform, it is possible to take the certification tests for free up to a certain period.

I am fascinated by object cloning, as it attaches to any website, making it easier for me to work with data.

Confusing steps must be taken to obtain rows or columns from an Excel file.

The tool offer practical funcions for the developer. The pre loaded comands cover most portion of the actions needed.

The default OCR feature does not recognize the texts as desired.
The inability of running alone. Once it depends on interaction of other system screens if you leave the BOT running there are many chances to see the automation stopped in the begining of the next working day. It could have some AI feature to solve this.
You need a least 3 people as staff to keep it running with some tranquility.

We got 2 BOTs running in production at our mid size company. There are 2 people working on it: the developer and the operator.
Considering the small size of the tech team we produced good RPA automation to reduce about 3 employees and some manual and repetitive tasks.
We got automation in the following processes: Billing; HR; Procurement; Logistics and 4.0 Industry.
There are many other processes to be automated in the pipeline. You need to consider good time to map processes as a consultant and development labor.
Considering the small size of the tech team we produced good RPA automation to reduce about 3 employees and some manual and repetitive tasks.

When you got high availability of your systems and also high control of change management this is the time to get in. Otherwise you automation will stop due unpredictable events and you will need your developer debugging every day.
