Seamless integration accelerates deployment and boosts efficiency

  • May 28, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

I have used ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages for almost a year.

I am working on a full stack project with a web server, a front end, and another server. We have two servers and a database.

Learning ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages was not much of a challenge for me as I used Kubernetes in my past work, which was more challenging. Kubernetes is harder.

We use the container engine in Amazon, specifically ECR.

We have orchestration with containers in our workflow and it works fine.

What is most valuable?

Using ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages provides better visibility into the issues.

It helps me do my job better because I have logs. I have CloudWatch automatically, and it is all in a single page. I can do the first deployment and run another one.

The integration of services such as ECS, CloudWatch, and logs is very important for my team's CI/CD pipeline. CloudWatch is very effective, helping us to see the logs better with all logs in one place. We do not use it to its full potential, but in the future, we will use more AWS products.

What needs improvement?

The UI could be better. It is simple, but it could be more simple. It is very good, but it can be excellent.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have used ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages for almost a year.

How are customer service and support?

I have not had any interaction with the AWS customer support team. We do not have customers yet. We did not need to ask AWS directly. There is another team in our organization that manages the hub account.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have used ECS on other platforms such as Azure before. Our DevOps team initially chose to use Kubernetes and then moved to OpenShift that runs Kubernetes. OpenShift supports IDF. Now, I moved to another team that uses AWS. There is ECS and EKS, but EKS is more complicated.

What about the implementation team?

Learning and implementing Amazon ECS for deployment is challenging at first, as with any new technology. After learning it, the process was very fast. Understanding how it works to implement in the CD was simple. I saw samples from other people in my team who implemented it, making it easy to understand. In my team, two people implemented it, and I joined them sometimes. We are five members in the team.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment through time savings. Compared to more complicated products, it saves time. Because it is simple and we do not have extensive knowledge yet, it saves us more time than complicated solutions.

What other advice do I have?

Working on this project is quite involved, similar to Kubernetes. It is straightforward to build the CD first, create the task definition, and then it runs.

It is very easy to use ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages once you learn it, since it is on AWS and integrated into our system.

The overall process of learning ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages took half a year.

I rate ECS-Optimized Amazon Linux Support by SupportedImages eight out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?
