Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is a strong, automatic threat prevention and fits easily with multi-cloud setup. It provides centralized management, scalability and compliance to secure cloud implementation.
What do you dislike about the product?
The configurations involved in check point cloud guard might be complicated to the teams that lack in-depth knowledge in cloud security. Its pricing model is also a little high when compared to small organizations or organizations with constrained budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Flexible Cloud Security with Scalable Licensing Options

  • November 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Checkpoint Cloudguard Network Security supports both public as well as private cloud. It has different type of licensing BYOL which depends upon number of cores as well as pay as you go model and it will increase the capacity as the size grow.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is fully dependent upon cloud like AWS and Azure for whose we donot have any access to their infra. We will be vulnerable for the issue they face in their services like last time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our need to increase the firewall capacity during our peak season due to its pay as you go licensing model. It also auto retrieves all the object from its Cloud manager once any object is created in the cloud.

Effortless Cloud Integration and Flexible Licensing

  • November 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most useful features about checkpoint is that how it fetches all the object from cloud when you create the datacenter. It has different licesing feature like BYOL which depends upon the number of core as well as elastic license which depend upon the volume of traffic passed.
What do you dislike about the product?
It mainly lies on cloud platform and it depends upon cloud to work without any disrution. Like the outage that happened on last time both for aws and azure, this would result in outage for other companies as well since the infra wont be accessible to anyone.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has improved the elasticity of our firewall as the traffic during season gets easily handled by the firewall and we do not have to worry about any drops in the packet and firewall not handling it.

Has improved threat response and reduced cloud-related alerts through automated security policies

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Our main use case for Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is protecting our cloud infrastructure from advanced threats while maintaining consistent security policies across hybrid environments; we rely on it most for perimeter defense, traffic inspection, and automated threat prevention.

What is most valuable?

The advanced threat prevention feature of Check Point CloudGuard Network Security stands out the most to me. The threat prevention feature in Check Point CloudGuard is highly effective because it blocks attacks before they reach cloud workloads, using real-time intelligence and automated controls; one standout scenario for us was stopping a zero-day exploit targeting a misconfigured API, which CloudGuard detected and blocked instantly, preventing lateral movement.

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security integrates natively in Azure, allowing security policies to follow workloads as they scale or move, and it also supports infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for security.

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security has had a strong positive impact on our organization across several dimensions, especially in security posture, operational efficiency, and cloud agility. Check Point CloudGuard Network Security has significantly reduced our organizational risk, particularly in cloud environments, with a measurable drop in misconfiguration, threat exposure, and incident response time, contributing to an estimated 30 or 40% reduction in overall cloud-related risk.

What needs improvement?

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security could be improved by enhancing its user interface, simplifying policy management, and expanding third-party integrations. The documentation has a learning curve, which can be dense and sometimes outdated. At first, I needed to learn different documentations, but now it is easier. More interactive guides, real-world examples, and clearer walkthroughs would help new users get up to speed faster.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Check Point CloudGuard Network Security for around two years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

Check Point CloudGuard Network Security's customer support is very good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

What was our ROI?

I have saved time due to Check Point CloudGuard Network Security.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing, setup cost, and licensing for Check Point CloudGuard Network Security is very good in Azure for me.

What other advice do I have?

Since implementing Check Point CloudGuard Network Security, my confidence in moving workloads to the cloud has remained the same. I recommend Check Point CloudGuard Network Security because it is better for its security. On a scale of one to ten, I rate Check Point CloudGuard Network Security an eight.

CloudGuard: My First Line of Defense

  • October 08, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The way CloudGuard handles cloud traffic feels effortless. I don’t have to constantly tweak settings or chase down alerts it just works in the background, keeping everything secure.
The integration with different cloud platforms is smooth, and I get the visibility I need without digging through endless dashboards.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that could be improved is the initial setup it’s not exactly plug and play.
If you’re not familiar with cloud architectures or Check Point’s ecosystem, getting everything configured can take some time.
Once it’s running, it’s solid, but that onboarding curve might be steep for smaller teams or those new to cloud security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloudGuard helps me stay ahead of cloud threats without having to be a cloud security expert.
Before, I was constantly worried about misconfigurations or missing something critical.
Now, it handles the heavy lifting monitoring traffic, spotting risks, and keeping things locked down.
It’s like having a quiet guardian that watches over my cloud setup while I focus on everything else.

Reliable network protection across cloud environments

  • October 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about CloudGuard Network Security is that it gives really strong protection for my cloud traffic. It’s reliable, integrates well with AWS and Azure, and I like how easy it is to manage security policies in one place. The threat prevention feels solid and up to date.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the setup and configuration can be a bit tricky, especially for more complex environments. The interface could be a little more intuitive, and updates or policy changes can take some time to apply. It’s also not the cheapest option out there.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloudGuard Network Security helps us protect cloud workloads and traffic from external threats and misconfigurations. It makes it easier to manage security across multiple cloud platforms and keeps our policies consistent. The biggest benefit is better visibility and control, which gives us more confidence that our environment is secure.
